Weird OFT issue

I have recently run into an issue. However, I'm not sure if its an issue due to my laptop or if its due to the tablet. It appears to be the tablet running into an issue.

Heres all the information that I think would be helpful. My Operating System is OSX, but i am also running Parallels. Parallels is running windows 8.1 which I have installed OpenFlash Manager 1.25.1 on it, as well as RomRaider. I have used this configuration in the past without issue. Now, when I connect my OFT, and open OpenFlash Manager, the application stops running. If I unplug the Tablet, I get an error saying "Unconfigured device, it cannot be used.". However, I used it just last night to upload a OTS tune to my car. I wanted to make some adjustments, and got that error.

I have tried uninstalling OpenFlash Manager, and re-installing it. I have also attempted to run it in compatibility mode for Windows 7, with no luck.

Any ideas on this?

I had similar behavior using VirtualBox. What I do is to connect the device before starting the VM, so the OFT is powered on. Then, I disconnect the device logically from the VM, start OFM and reconnect it again logically to the VM. I don't know which button to press in Parallels but there should be an option that let's you decide which USB device to attach/connect to the VM. HTH.

Thanks for this tip. I tried a bunch of stuff thinking it was my VM causing issues with the identifying of the device (brand new device and already was able to flash my car so I knew the device was fine), but I didn't even think to connect the device to the mac first and then to the VM box. In Parallels the disconnect/connect feature is in the Menubar > Devices > External Devices.
