Looking at their menu and a chili dog is $8. Seems a bit high.

I've never eaten at a Sonic. We have quite a few of them. Their food looks bad in the commercials.

Looks like the Gem has chili dogs. It is about a block from the dive bar. I'll have to try it today. I think I'll take a preemptive imodium.

Other than a couple of outliers that pretty much looks like my high school parking lot only with real paint on the cars.

I make sure that piping doesn’t corrode and cause leaks or explosions on oil and gas lines.

I had lunch with a buddy that was telling me he has a friend that has been doing it for 5 years in his Suburban. Apparently technically you have to be able to show you put E85 in it if you ever get questioned.

Very tempting....
I need to look up the laws in Ontario for the carpool lane. AFAIK, it’s EV or 2+ people in the vehicle. My work truck runs on natural gas, so I’m wondering if that’ll qualify.

Edit: it does not.

I presume that the carpool lanes only exist on certain highways around the Toronto area? I don't think I have ever seen a carpool lane but I don't drive those highways much. I am sure I have never seen one on the 401 even going through Toronto.

Wow, that is expensive if its just for the dog. In Atlanta, a chili-cheese-slaw dog at The Varsity is $3.70.

Oh, and as far as the picture above of the GEM parking lot, from left to right:

2, 1, 5, 6, 4, 9, 8, 7, 3

404, 403 and I think that’s it. I’d be most interested in it for the 404, since it’s an absolute shitshow to go from the 404 to the 401, unless you’re in the carpool lane. And realistically, if I’m in my truck, I’m on the clock so if my drive takes an extra 10 minutes it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

The other surprising thing I learned while looking up the carpool lane laws is that motorcycles have free reign of it too, I had no idea about that one.

Same here, and I used to take advantage of that when I had a ride. Definitely helped with the commute time, and improved safety a bit since folks weren't merging in/out of the lane as much.

I guess I shouldn’t have used “surprised” the rule totally makes sense, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bike in that lane. However, this is one of the first years I’m going to be travelling through Toronto on a daily basis for work.

One of the awesome side effects of my job is going to be that I’ll learn the city super well and won’t need to use google maps anymore to get around after a while.

It has been my experience that to many motorcycles there is no such thing as "lanes" anyway.
