THAT PISSES ME OFF. I feel for you, I really do. Someone hit me at a parking lot. I parked at the edge of the spot, hanging a bit off the lines as to avoid someone dinging my door.. idiot STILL managed to hit me even though he had one whole parking spot and then some more space to park.

I hope he (your guy) gets run over. Maybe harsh words but to find out your BRAND NEW car gets hit, not even a year into it... I really feel for you. Its even more aggravating that he went hit and run.

Scum Bags,

These people are everywhere, alot of them are just dumb and dont know how to drive, others are jealous.

It annoys me a bit when i drive around and people are like "look at that rich asshole in his expensive car".

1) Their not that expensive
2) I had to work my ass off to get it, sorry welfare wont cover the payments you bums.

Last year I had some retard back into my AE86 and run, I ended up having to pay the repairs.

hope it bodes better for you.

Hit and run should be reported to the Collision reporting centre if you are in the GTA or the cops otherwise. Insurance will want to see the report.

You should be covered and are not at fault. Hope your deductible is low.

Ughh... hearing all these stories are making me more paranoid, which is convincing me that I should install dash cams in both the front and rear of my car.

That is terrible to hear. The thing is from what I've been told Even if he stuck around on private property you can't do shit. You pay your damages and he pays his.

That's not true, if you can prove fault on the other individual, their insurance will pay for everything and your deductible won't come into play.

Also if you report to collision center and they assess it as no fault (i.e. you didn't drive into a wall and then come claim it as a hit and run) I think you can still get it fixed without your deductible coming into play as well.

File a report with the police at the collision center, then go to the dorm security and request them to review to get the license plate number of the person and provide to police and/or your insurance.

With the plates they can find the individual and get them at fault for your repairs. Also you get police to charge the guy with whats coming to him for hit and run since its over $1000 of damage probably.

Best of luck man, puts my little 'car door ding and run' into perspective but it sucks either way
