Use the magnet system that they've posted above ^^

Damn, I really didn't want to have to remove my bumper. I may end up just having the dealership put one on

Did you not receive a kit for it when you got the car? It's a simple install but if you really want it in the middle I'd also recommend the magnet system listed above.

The stock one should have come free. They are required by law to supply any additional parts required to comply with local vehicular laws at no additional charge.

I know that, that's why I was wondering if he didn't receive it.

I've lived in three states in the last 12 years, and two of them require front plates. I have never had a front plate on any of my cars in those 12 years. Both my wife and I have been pulled over for speeding in those 12 years, and not one of the police officers complained or made note of my missing front plate. If you get an official ticket about it, then you have to resolve it, but I have never had that happen. If it is just a verbal warning then it means nothing. There are certain cars where I don't mind a front plate, but the cars I like best look much better without one, and I refuse to put one on. I have never been forced to do so.

Maybe it's a Westcoast thing, my wife and I have both been pulled over for this in the past up here in WA.

I did get one, I was under the impression that the kit from the dealer required me to drill holes in my bumper. I wanted to avoid that, but I think it might be the route I have to take.

The stock one requires to small taps. But it looks right and doesn't block airflow on the BRZ. Some people I know have put there plates inside the grill with zipties and then complained that our cars run hot.
