Mine has slowly crept up over the 200K miles I've had it. My driving style hasn't changed, nor has the 90% of my driving that is the exact same route daily. There are some seasonal fluctuations based on winter vs summer blends, etc.

Nah, just a spreadsheet nerd. Since I track every tank of fuel through Fuelly it took a few seconds about 5 years ago to create the graph.

Tires get harder as they age - I got my best mileage just before I swapped out 5½ year-old OEM Primacys a while back.

You'll see a big jump if you ditch the dead cat currently decorating your tow hook.. Oh remove the tow hook too as I'm sure it fucks up the airstream separation (can't remember the techy word for it..).

Remember to actually do the calculation when you fill up and don't rely on the car. Mine consistently reads exactly 2 MPG higher.

My average is exactly 24.0 through 80 fill ups in my 2017, doing the manual calculation. Mostly autocross though. So driving to the location, a lot of idling, hard driving, then back.

All highway, I've topped 31.5 MPG. I can get about 30 rather consistently at 50-60MPH with hills.

OK, what am I missing? I would have to leave mine idling for hours to get anywhere near that number.

Dallas traffic, E85, Turbo.

If I can get on a highway without traffic and on premium gas I can get 26 to 28 mpg at around 75mph.
