Engine Mounts?

Really would like to see some group N engine mounts to come from Subaru. Until then does anyone have experience with the Perrin and Cusco engine mounts. I had cusco's in my STI and found them a bit to harsh. Are the perrins any softer?

I read that the cusco units increase vibrations A LOT. Haven't heard about the perrin mounts yet. TRD makes a set which may be a good compromise.

Any links to TRD mounts? I like the idea of subi group N mounts because they are subi parts so the dealer cant give me a hard time.

I have the Perrin mounts. So far so good. The first three days i could feel the vibration. As we have had warmer weather here in Florida they have settled in and feel great.

TRD mounts can be found on japanparts.

tg_1981: You like the mounts? When you say "feel the vibration" can you elaborate?

one of the Mid-Atlantic vendors here posted an install and review of the perrin mounts. They are pretty mild on NVH.

I have the perrin mounts in, I think they are great except I still have a rough idle sometimes and the nvh really gets rough when the rpm dips under 600. Once the mounts broke in a bit I think at idle is the only time they are unpleasant. I keep meaning to ask Jeff to bump my idle up but I forget when I press the gas.

the purpose of the engine mounts is to decrease the rock of the motor, and without the rubber bushings, you are going to feel the motor vibrating as it runs.... If you don't want vibration from the motor, then stick with the stock mounts... very simple.

Possibly polyurethane mounts. Idk if anyone makes them. They are stiffer than the OEM rubber ones, but won't rattle your brain out solid. Try searching for Poly mounts and see what you come up with.

i'm holding out to read more reviews on them, i dont want anything crazy harsh, but an small increase in NVH is no big deal. the whiteline trans insert added a bit, but it gives it a "raw" feel.

I have Perrin Mounts and NVH IMO is very minimal (actually I only notice a slight increase in vibration no extra noise or harshness), it is only noticible during idle and I would describe the extra vibration as a slight tingling sensation and yes turning on the AC adds to this, but is still not excessive. I have had them on the car for a month now and at first I would notice the vibrations, but now I don't even know its there.
