I just wanna add that almost every new car forum that sprouted up over the last couple of years seems to be run by the same jerks. Probably not, but they all look identicle and are littered with shitty banners and ads that require a ransom to get rid of them. I hate these places. They look like shit, they're slow as shit, and most of them are just, shit!

So, thanks for doing the exact opposite here! Honestly, I left the Redline Forums a while back when they changed over to the shitty version. Had this place been another clone of the others, I probably would never have joined.

There's no denying that some great moderating goes on the here, its a small community and the atmosphere reflects that.

One problem that has bothered me (Ive mentioned it in now deleted threads) is the uninformed deletion of posts, especially when comments are hardly inappropriate. The only thing Ive ever asked for is a one line PM saying why a post has been deleted and what type of action is taken against the people who violated those rules. I feel like posters can better avoid posting 'deleted-worthy' comments if they knew what type of things the mods delete OR we can keep up the uninformed censoring and Ill shut my mouth. Thanks

Hm... that's kinda hard. Cuz some days we go through over 30 posts we need to delete in few hrs. Some days we just need to delete 2~3 posts in a day.

If you like, if I'll try to delete your posts, I'll edited out as "Delete & reasons" instead...

keyword "try"

That's the thing... more mods isn't the answer IMO... more like more regional mods might be a better answer

That too. That's weird, I didn't get a notification that you quoted me.

Are there lots of issues in the regional forums? I think we need mods for each of the popular forum sections. I asked, but they wouldn't give me the stick for the Forced Induction section.

As of right now if there's annything that needs to be done at the regional level, we have to contact the mods to get it done (Ichi, Dave, Manny, Guff, WoW, etc.). A regional mod allows the big boy mods to their job without interruption from local level forums that don't need *much* moderation but still have to bug the big boys to get it.

Is @Sportsguy83 the only regional mod? I know he runs that section with an iron fist letting shops bump their threads.

I have looked at those threads but have always wondered if I would be too much of a nazi by slapping their wrist about them...

@VADER is also Southeast region mod but no other region has mods AFAIK.

^FL has TWO regional mods.

DarrenDriven may also be a regional mod, though he is also a mod for several sub-forums.

Yup. I don't post as much as @Sportsguy83, but rest assured I am here moderating in the background. Not much goes on though tbh.
