it’s a shame there’s no STi body kit

I used to have a 4th gen Eclipse and remember how gorgeous the RalliArt concept was and thinking it’s a shame that it’ll never come to market. But somebody did make an aftermarket kit that looked like it. Not quite as nice as the concept of course, but it was what you’d probably see if it the RalliArt mode did come to market.

The 2015 BRZ STi concept looks stunning and I’m not surprised it never came to market but I’m surprised nobody in the aftermarket ripped it off... or for legal reasons just borrowed heavily from it.

your opinion is bad. 3rd gen was the best of the worst.

Or there is the best! No bloody body kit required.

actually, now that im looking at it, the 17+ brz front bumper is strikingly similar to the '15 concept. the fog light area is pretty similar, you could carbon vinyl wrap the "mustache", put the sti emblem and red pinstripe on the lower grill.

actually the canadian ML24 version 2 BRZ widebody is the closest of all. its giant front lip and front fender pieces go onto a 13+ brz and meet to make a 17+ style look for the front end.

Weren't the 3rd and 4th gen Eclipses FWD?

About ten years ago I was shopping for a new used car. I was making calls to local shops and inquiring about maintenance schedules and repairs, and browsing used car lots. I wandered onto the local Chevy lot and started walking around when a smarmy salesman started tagging along and wouldn't leave me alone. Just so he'd go away, I finally told him I was looking for a used Japanese RWD coupe with leather upholstery and a manual gearbox. I figured if I over-specified something unrealistic he'd go away. But he got all excited and said he had just the thing, so I followed him to the other side of the lot where he showed me a 3rd-gen Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible with cloth upholstery and an automatic transmission.

They were all FWD with just the very top trims as AWD.

One of the best cars I ever owned contrary to their modern day rep.

As far as I can tell the only body parts on that car that are stock are the side markers and badge.

Has about the normal similarities from concept to production. Everything on the tS is close but not quite there.
