Not at stock engine power levels. Many on the forums suggest 2.5" is enough for 300whp. You'll run out of engine before exhaust is a restriction.
Anything with a briefcase style muffler should be quieter than the comp rs.

Greddy SP, blitz VSR beyond what was already mentioned.

Will you say that q300 is a option that I can go towards? Since there the guy here selling it.

Yep. Only issue with most used catbacks is the fiberglass packing degrades over time.
Which can make the sound quality deteriorate. Will depend on usage and mileage but It should be quieter than your setup regardless.

Stock header, plm over pipe, and the full nurspec exhaust. It's super quiet, basically stock sounding but a little deeper tone.

If you get a catless header keep the stock FP as it will be too loud with an aftermarket. Even the jdl catted and resonated with my Q300;was too loud for this 48 year old man. Switched back to the stock FP and it’s great.

I put on a borla axle back to see and that was loud too. Now both the axleback and jdl FP are for sale. Learn from my mistakes. It is true the catbacks get louder over time.

I also hate loud exhaust, I just want something deep and quiet, and tells me it's time to change gears.

Is the borla axle back quieter compare to your q300 axle back?

No it is a little bit louder. Go to youtube and listen to people with everything stock and the axleback it’s not loud at all.

Based on some of the conversation here, I would +1 for the Touring86. A bit higher quality exhaust from what I've read and I do own one as well. From what few have claimed as well as CSG Mike himself, the exhaust does not deteriorate in sound like the others, or at least not as much. I have been beating on mine for over a year now, which isn't much, but the sound is still identical.

Mine was fine until the Q300 got a little louder. An aftermarket FP with a catless header is a recipe for rasp and loudness. I am too old to be that loud. The stock FP makes it more tolerable.
