If this is a $100,000 car it should not be referred to ever as an MR2 replacement or successor because it is neither at that price range. The whole point of the MR2 was it was an affordable mid-engine car.
That doesn't mean I don't want one NOW, it's just that let's at least call it what it is and not what it isn't.

LOL, they are gonna need a roof with GT40 style Dan Gurney bubble if they expect to put a roof on the Le Mans racecar version and fit a normal driver. It’s cool looking though, reminds me of 60s era racecars with lots of curves and bumps. Completely irrelevant to me though, not a multi millionaire. What I’d love is for Toyota to release a new MR2, something Lotus Elise sized. Heck, just partner up with Lotus to design it (who use Toyota engines already). With lightweight and tiny size, you don’t need a powerful engine, a trusty Toyota four banger will do. Last edited by Red-86; 10-08-2020 at 08:02 AM. |

Def not doing at the FHI... or at least that's what I assume anyways. There's no point to show off other project to other brand that's not involved in.

It looks a lot like they took the last version of their LMP1 car and homologated it.
After watching a couple of hours of the race, it seemed to pretty much run like the LMP1 car as well,
