I think that's where he is taking those logs.

On a NA BRZ theres no way that you aren't in second gear for "on-ramp". You would bog so hard trying to take "on-ramp" in 3rd in an NA BRZ.

But still it's a bit interesting if there is more out to squeeze out from normal headers w/o integrated for runners overpipe bit. Though hearing 'customer special request' and so on i somewhat doubt seeing dyno numbers and their stack up against normal Ace's 4-1 for this experimental header as it probably will be left between Ace/you guys/customer himself.
We're not part of that customer order so likewise, cannot discuss actual benefits since we cannot quantitatively perform the tests. We discuss what we do know and provide information that is worthwhile for the community.

On another note, if you guys want the Type As, there is a waitlist of those who have ordered. There is a hard limit so if you want in, please let us know!

I think I misunderstood the "on ramp" as it means getting on to the track from the pit, Solidone used the wrong term if hes referring to turn 2 buttonhook or "off-ramp" in which yes NA would use 2nd gear and FI uses 3rd. I thought Solidone goes the the track all the time......

I think rahabjeff86 talking about the pit lane exit onto the track. "on-ramp" "off ramp" Not sure what it's actually called, but I've heard it being called both. Anyways, I think most people in an NA 86 would have been in 4th gear for a split second before entering cotton corners. So it's a pretty decent sized straight IMO.

I don't have this track memorized by heart like most of you.

The section of track in question on google maps:

Technicalities... "on-ramp" "off-ramp" close enough. Or I'll just call it "dat one turn" lmao

Edit: I suppose if you had an na setup where it's producing a lot of torque already below 4000rpm, such as this 4-2-1 or Nameless, taking offramp in 3rd gear would actually be pretty damn nice.

I am under in impression that there might be more who would wish for no compromises very best and for Type A production to never be closed/without any numbers produced limits.
Even more so, when you keep posting those header porn pics showing off his work quality without any NSFW tags!

Yes, Type-A headers are exclusive to us now. We also can take care of questions and orders for the products that ACE showcases as well.

Does that mean I will be able to order a Type-A header come tax time next year? Really want this header!

Just got back from my home track (Thunderhill) where I was able to test the ACE Header and CSG spec SRC coil over suspension. Knocked a full 3 secs of my best time and after looking at the data there was some traffic in that lap so there was definitely more improvement beyond that (probably 1-1.5 sec or so).

The results(red) vs the last time I was there with stock header (blue):

In terms of acceleration I had the same accel down the straight as:

E36 M3 (gutted)
S2k (modded)
BMW 228i (looks like this puts down 225 whp 240 ft-lbs on dynojets and weighs 3300 lbs). I also noticed I started gaining on it towards the end of the straight where you tent to sit in higher gear / higher rpm.

You'll want to order as soon as you can. The backlog is quite long.

Ace will be at the World Time Attack in Sydney this week.

If anyone's around come by and say hello. We'll have a few samples on display and cold drinks in the cooler.

Happy drivin,
Team Ace
