Is it safe to run with a stripped interior?
I wanted to strip the rear backseats and speaker panels for the summer because its a racecar (this part is sarcasm). I don't want to remove the curtain airbags though, and I'm worried that the airbag might go off if someone accidentally punches a sensor.
Are airbag sensors smart enough to not go off in that case? And is it the yellow plug near the speakers? Last edited by Cubix; 03-05-2017 at 05:57 PM. |

You will be fine. It will be ugly as hell but nothing will get set off.

Lol this post is so contradictory.
You claim race car, but want airbags. So what you really want to do is look cool while you're parked at a brzworld meet? |

Are we talking Top Gear S24E01 here ? And also Top Gear Extra Gear S02E01
(These are episodes containing a new, Red Toyota 86, in which interior panels, including headliner have been removed, roll cage installed) Thank God for file sharing. Last edited by ToySub1946; 03-05-2017 at 10:52 PM. |

Like I said before there is nothing unsafe about it really. Just sort of a goofy thing to do for no benefit.
