Quick question, @h4nh, when you took those headlights apart, were you able to tell what was powering the U strips and if it was possible to upgrade the "bulb" that powers it?

There was very minor weight difference if any. I just like it because I have a carbon roof on my m3 as well.

Thanks.. but i have no clue what that is lol. That's not the same color. The color is off a 97 bmw z3 fiji edition. same as my m3 set up.

Kudos dude, for having the guts to do that - I don't but I love it so will just wrap the roof on my BRZ with Hexis 3D, should look seamless unless one really scrutinizes it.
Thanks! wrapping would be very simple and would look great too.

It's a board with two led's on it.

Here.. the pieces in grey. There's two led's on it. I'm sure you could modify an led light and run a separate wire somewhere. I liked the white led so I kept it. I try not to over do things haha. If you were to black out the whole housing and changed the led's that would look sick!

Not trying to over do either but I feel that the white LEDs powering the strips are kinda weak. I want to see if I can use a higher output Cree LEDs in white. Thanks for answering my question BTW.

Edit: I meant high flux LEDs.

H4nh,

I'm located here in Dallas. I'm off 75 and Fitzhugh by downtown. Any chance we could get together soon? There are a few mods I'd like to show you and would really like to see your car in person.

You're welcome bro, glad to help.

They are weak because they're two led's powering each end and the chrome in the back reflects the light. You can make them brighter by replacing the whole strip by somehow fitting an led strip in there... you might have to do some searching to find universal led strips.

Yeah we should make some type of weekend meet. I've been asked by a few people to see my car so it'd be cool if we could all meet up haha.

there's' usually not many cars in the Dallas meets so far, and they're all pretty much bone stock. It'll feel like going to the dealership and parking your car there. lol

Strong. Build is strong. Keep up the good work brother. What does HGMS stand for? I know some vdub/euro guys that rock that acronym.
