Have you bled your clutch?

Im in the process of fixing my car up, replacing a few things and Servicing absolutely everything in the car. And last on the list was my clutch system. Well after some research I have done it. And it was the easiest process. I did it in 20 minutes, by myself. With a simple brake bleed kit a length of wood and an 8mm spanner. That's it.

If your shifts don't feel 100% seriously, before you consider a new clutch bleed your system. The difference is more than noticable.

So what? Either the clutch bleeds or he does? That's pretty hard core.

I read the title and thought “OMG I’ve never done that !”, and then I remembered, I have an auto haha.

So there is an advantage having the awesome, super-quick shifting auto gearbox on this thing. I only ever use it in manual mode with the paddles, unless I am in stop-start traffic, so I find the only downside is launch control (or lack of). I know there are lots of auto haters out there, but since I have installed my HKS S/C, and full Cobra res catback system, I seriously love driving the car, and, in all seriousness, when I’m really caning it, be it on track, or an enthusiastic drive along good twisties, I would much rather have both my hands in the steering wheel at all times anyway.

I did mine when I replaced my clutch and fork since I managed to install the clutch assembly wrong and it induced air into the system.

Idiot at the autoparts store gave me dot 5 when I asked for 4, managed to catch it before it fully went in.

......you do know you can just remove the clutch slave unit off the tranny and never have to bleed it.......
Just saying. I mean the repair manual says to remove the clutch line, but that's just there to charge people more by the hour.

Lol, I didn't think about that. But seeing as how my clutch had never been bled. And I just had the brake lines flushed I thought why not. And why not indeed. Perhaps there has always been air in the system or the mechanics that did the recall drained it. Either way. It is better now. Feels like a new clutch lol.

I replaced my slave cylinder hydraulic line with this braided Chase Bays Clutch Line. It shortens the fluid path significantly (bypassing the hardline completely) and replaced the squishy rubber line. Definitely an improvement.
