Thank you! No lie, it looks pretty good with just with that. I need to have one that fits between the Nur Spec lip (which curves inwards from side towards center) and I am pretty sure Verus will only cater towards stock bumpers.

The FRS is running and performing better than expected. It is now 2 SECONDS faster at Pineview Run than last year. So far that is the only track I have been to this year. Official lap time was a 1:12.6.

The Advan A052 are wearing a little faster than expected but every lap with them is awesome. They are the new hotness. They get greasy above 35psi and the fast lap is when they are cooler. I plan to increase the front camber from -3.8 to -4.0 to run the same tire next year. YCW Engineering hooked me up with their new/updated camber-caster plates to try out.

I have decided to change this year from a planned kill year to a chill year. Its just kind of naturally turned out that way bc of Covid and I am kind of liking my life away from taking this so seriously. The car will be even more set to kill in 2021 with what I have learned about these tires and setup in 2020. But I am not planning much of anything over the winter.

A few pics to catch you up.

The only on track pic so far

Got the new whip looking good with some wheels/tires - Inaugural track test is this weekend.

More pics from Pineview Run. I am headed to Watkins Glen for my first actual track day of 2020 August 28-30. I am really looking forward to what this years revision of my car can do 100lbs lighter and with the Advan A052s. 2018's record was 2:14.9 on RE71Rs. I couldn't touch that in 2019 with Dunlop Z3s.

I had a blast at Watkins Glen with NASA Northeast this weekend. I got a bunch of seat time and managed a 2:14.1 (.8 seconds faster than my PB) with the Advan A052s.

Upon looking at my data I am a little disappointed at how much I left on the table. It seems like I am pretty rusty. I definitely didn't feel as sharp as usual and this was my first event to test my car at speed. I joked about how this was the first event this year that I could get the car above 3rd gear. I am also kicking myself for my terrible 'hand on shifter' educate and soft braking. 2020 has taken its toll.

My event did end with another coil pack failure. I have 1 fresh OEM coil left until I decide on the CSG or delicious tuning set.

This is my favorite few laps while chasing down a DE3 driver in an R35. It was his first time at the glen and he was running high 2:13s so we were pretty close. My fast lap was the last lap of this video. Enjoy.

What tire size are you running currently? I'm thinking heavily on the 17" switch again.

255/40/17. It is worth the switch. 18s are expensive.

Glad I wasn't the only one that felt really rusty on my outing this year lol. I completely understand that "wtf is wrong with me" feeling of knowing you are leaving a lot on the table.

Verdict on A052's? Prefer them over the RE71's? How does the wear look? I hear guys saying 2 days and they are done. I may stick with the Z3 since they seem to last a decent amount of time for the price. I think I got 6 days on mine.

The guys that say that type of thing are the guys getting every tenth out of the tire then throw them away when they fall off. I drive on the tire until it is corded.

After last weekend I have about 200 track miles on the A052s. 150 of which on a tiny 2nd and 3rd gear autocross course (Pineview Run). Pineview is the most abrasive surface I have ever driven on and you are always on tire. I have about 1/4 the tread life left after the glen. That may sound crazy but that is actually pretty solid considering how abrasive Pineview is. And the A052s felt AMAZING all weekend at the Glen around 33 psi hot. I plan to buy them again for 2021. Hopefully 2021 will prove to be a better year and I can test them in a more typical setting. I have't compared my data from last weekend to 2018 (RE71Rs) but I plan to. For reference, I drove all of 2018 on RE71Rs, about 1700 track miles. I expect the A052s to perform the same if not a little less life.

Last year I drove on one set of Z3s for 2300 track miles. I chose to do that because my track budget was SUPER tight for 2019 because I had just rebuilt the car after my crash. It was fun, but slow. Like 3 seconds slower than RE71Rs at the glen. It was nice to only need one set of tires the entire year but I hate being slow because of tires.

Thanks for the feedback I am pretty sure they will be my next set when I cord the Z3's. My favorite track is not too abrasive and it is getting a repave later this year.

My goal for 2020 was to beat the street tire track record at my local track Pineview Run. Over the weekend I finally accomplished that. Enjoy.

Welp. I am competing in my first ever 86 cup event this weekend at NYST. It all started out when a group of friends decided to go to a masstuning track day and I figured I would join. After I signed up I found out the event is hosting 86 cup. I will be in the unlimited category due (mainly) to weight and tire so I will probably get smoked by some boosted boys. I have been chatting with the other competitors and they seem like a good group of guys. Looking forward to it.

I crammed some events in now that things are sort of back to normal. Palmer with NASA NE October 17,18 and Pineview Oct 24 if there is any tire left. Then she goes away for the winter.
