FS/FT: (GA) Borla Axle Back Exhaust Great Condition
I removed this Borla axle back from my 2016 FR-S when it had less than 7,000 miles on the car. I do not know if the original owner had it installed as a dealer option or afterwards, so I will only claim less than 7,000 miles of use on an otherwise stock car.
The sound was nice and refined during the 1000 miles of driving at the beginning of my ownership. I wanted something louder and more aggressive, so I replaced it with a Tomei Type 60S. No damage, scratches, scrapes, etc. The exhaust has been stored in my conditioned basement since removal, and will remain so until sold. I am asking $350 shipped in the CONTUS for this extremely clean exhaust. I prefer cash if a local sale; if remote, PayPal and you cover the fees. Will also trade for an unmarried OFT or a catted AND resonated 2.5" front pipe. Ground shipping via a box 44"x24"x8" weighing 25lbs. I am in zip code 30276 south of Atlanta, GA. The entire album may be viewed here: https://imgur.com/a/Y7Wmh If you have questions, please PM or email me. Thanks, Chris Last edited by cbryant514; 10-09-2017 at 10:30 AM. I've had several inquiries about the Borla sound/volume compared to OE. Below is one of my responses.
Assuming the rest of your exhaust is stock, the best way I can describe the Borla is that it allows you to hear the exhaust when accelerating without the nauseating side-effect of drone. At idle and when cruising, it is not much louder than stock, but it does let you hear the exhaust pulses. At WOT, you can hear the exhaust and enjoy it. I wanted a louder, more distinctive exhaust note for DD and track days, so I now have a Tomei Type-60S. It is LOUD but refined, and I enjoy it immensely for my short commute. If I still had my 3 hour/day commute, I would happily keep the Borla. Here is a nice comparison to the OE axleback: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uWftW_wMsg"]Borla 11839 FRS BRZ GT86 Rear Section Exhaust (Axle Back) - YouTube[/ame] Let me know if you have any other questions!
