Will be interesting if this will be a North American specific car or if Honda will sell the new Integra in Japan too.

It'll likely be a Honda Integra then, unless its only a N/A model. |

A type S would be cool as a more luxury oriented CTR

Thinking Civic SI with a different body and some upgrades. There's no way they'll spend the money on a ground up new design.

At one point I had 2 ‘88 models, a 2dr and a 4dr, in the garage. Loved them. Today? I don’t have a desire for a fwd sports coupe. Something about those two concepts “fwd” and “sports coupe” in the same sentence just doesn’t work for me.

It will be an AWD hybrid drivetrain.
Love the several DA integras I had. My very first car I bought was a '90 GS coupe and my favorite was a '90 RS coupe, 2300lbs ready to run track car that rotated the rear end around quicker than a RWD car. As fun as the FR-S ever was and had a better motor. It has to be able to compete with the 86 and have a proper performance tuned suspension and playful character yet more buttoned down and serious than the hottest Civic. If Honda screws this up they will have lost me for life.

Maybe that something interesting is just a 2-door hatch Si with decent seats, that's not the worst thing in the world. Maybe they figured out how to build an NSX-lite hybrid powertrain on a budget that's fun to drive and offers performance on par with an Si. That would be pretty neat. It was a safe bet that Nissan wouldn't do anything interesting with the Z, Toyota surprised me with the FA24 but Honda picked up their game at some point 5-10 years ago after the 9th gen Civic flopped so I expect something noteworthy out of this, even if it's just a $30k 2-door Si with the Type-R revo-knuckle or K20C4 + LSD. |

I'm just finding it odd to only offer the Integra as an coupe and leaving the Civic as a sedan only. Unless Honda wants all previous and potential Civic "coupe" buyers to move up into the Acura brand. I guess we shall see.

I remember wanting an Integra back when I was a teenager and the F&F were all the rage in the early 2000s. Never could find one that wasn't riced out or insanely over priced. By the time I could afford one that was over priced the twins were a thing and I got that instead. Still, I always enjoy another sporty option.
