Even for a tall driver, having back seats is useful... as a storage shelf
Every time I'm in a Boxster/Cayman/Miata, there's no place for me or my gf to our stuff in the interior. Back to the BRZ, I can still take 2 average size passengers if needed, just not 3. |

‘Can’ being the operative word here. You wouldn’t stick 2 adults back there on a daily basis, but you can if needed. That’s the point here. I NEED 4 seats very occasionally, only short trips when I can’t use the family car. If I got a 2 seater I’d have to rent a car for a day 3-5 times a year.

Oh, you should have seen how I test-drove my BRZ before buying.
I (6'4") came with my ~6'4" friend and we were swapping seats, but the average-size salesperson insisted to go with us. "I'll be ok on the back seat". He was laying pretty diagonally on the back seats as we were "testing handling" on nearby highway ramps, and it looked as if he was quietly praying for his life. |

I like that there are back seats, even if it's nearly impossible to sit there comfortably, still that space is usable. Also would like an inline 4 instead of a boxer, to be closer to AE86 spirit, and overall I like them better. But I'm glad that they are making it even with a boxer.

The back seats seemed relatively worthless to me so I put one of the back seat delete kits in there. Really like it.

That space is useful for putting small stuff like bags, coats, etc, there rather than putting them in the trunk.

This sounds like a comedy sketch, also I'm imagining him in a "paint me like one of your French girls" pose

These are not words I ever expected to read together in a sentence.
