What all functions are handled by the main (Engine) ECU?

I am curious.
Is there a list of all functions that are handled by the primary (Engine) ECU?
I know that the DI injection has it's own ECU, and I believe that the ABS has one.

I know that the TC & VSC need to interact with the Engine ECU to cut throttle to prevent wheel slip, but is the software that governs TC & VSC running on the Engine ECU?

Or does the Engine ECU just accept commands over the CAN BUS to cut throttle?

If the code that controls VSC & TC is in the Engine ECU ROM, then has anyone found it and identified any parameters?

IF it is NOT in the engine ECU, then what controller manages TC & VSC?

EcuTek and Open Flash both have parameters to control launch control and flat foot shifting, but I don't know if they're directly controlling the VSC/TC, or if it is a secondary level of rev limiting that only works with the primary VSC/TC disabled.

DI mapping is controlled by the main ECU, but I believe the injector driver is a separate board/ecu.

If the VSC/TC aren't on the main ECU, I would bet they might be part of the ABS?
