I see some Focus and Evo X inspiration there. Interested to see the entire car.

Was about to joke about the fact that Toyota has produced exactly one car with notable 'driving dynamics' in the last decade: the LFA. The FR-S is produced by Subaru after all and the MR2 and Celica were designed 15 years ago and ceased production 9 years ago.

This will continue to be true as the iA is supposedly born from partnership with Mazda and based off the Mazda2:

Mazda love spillin over from the Miata thread

Really though, I think everyone is hoping that the iA gets sports sedan reflexes on a budget (even though FWD). Maybe, just maybe Toyota really does has a viable plan to rebuild Scion.

people seem to be getting up in arms about Toyota's joint ventures but don't even bat an eye when nearly EVERY small car in Europe is a VW underneath.

Produced. Not designed by Subaru.

Strat...

Strat...

Homie, Strat, for your sake, mine, and everyone else's on this forum, DO NOT bring that debate up.

That debate is a variable pandora's box that can cause an entire thread to implode in on itself in the most violent way.

Flaming, irrational behavior, incoherent babbling, are just some of the ways it will happen.

so save us all and leave it at "joint venture"

no one can argue with that.

wut

Far as I'm concerned I'm glad Toyota is taking lessons, maybe someday they'll develop a fun car on their own, it's been 15 years since they developed an affordable truly great handling car on their own with the MR-S.

I'll do Nemesis a favor and leave it at this.

What was this thread about?

Oh yeah! The new Scion sedan!

I'm just thankful that Scion appears to be going strong still in North America. It's hard to not see Saturn parallels. I feel like every new model legitimizes the marque a little more.

I think we should leave the Polish out of this.

The matrix was produced for 10 years in America. That's probably longer than the frs will last
