blew through a tank on a saturday run over to greenville sc across blue ridge and down 276 through forestry school country. 276 is a bit rough but great lines cutting up and down the hills. kinda like hiking out of the grand canyon but less donkey poop.
i used 5th and 6th for the first time in a year or so running the wall on i-40 from maggie to the tn line. it's an intensified perception of speed running along the 6' high barrier for 22 miles. one of the better sections of interstate in the country. |

Not that my car will ever see snow but, after last year's fiasco with trying to boost start the wife's car with my tS I thought I'd better be ready.
I found a used set of forged TRD wheels off of a FR-S Release Series 2.0 with snows already mounted. The clear coat is coming off but they look good from a distance. Anyway, they're more for protection of the summers than actual winter use. |

While I despise the feel of driving on snow tires, I like the design of the 2017+ OEM wheels enough that the car still looks great during winter. |

Thanks and yes I will get them refinished next summer. I'm not sure where or what yet. I love the look of Black Chrome but plain gloss black powder coat maybe the cheaper way to go. I'll start shopping around after I switch back to the summer rims and tires.

I didn't experience much rasp on full stock exhaust, and also liked it when first installed. The only thing that bugged me and got me into the cat back route was the "sizzle" sound it produced from thin tubing. This was especially pronounced when really stepping on it in the lower RPM's. As RPM's went up past 4k, the sound "sizzled" so fast that it did not become very prominent anymore and smoothed out to the end of the range. Car sounds more like a race car with this header.

Should have no issues with speed bumps. Stock ground clearance is 4.9" on the tS which comes with STI lowering springs and front lip. Not exactly sure how that's true as the stock BRZ comes with the same ground clearance. But the lip doesn't actually do much lowering, as the bottom of it aligns with the bottom of the skid plate. STI springs only lower the car about 10mm. So you're still looking at over 4" ground clearance likely.

I have the STI springs in my old car, but again the lowering was mild in the range of 15mm. I am done with mods .. I have to worry about other things currently.
