Did you guys use any sealant on the fittings that go into the sandwich plate from the oil cooler?

They're sending me out 2 new orings so I can replace both. Originally I didn't put any sealant on and it was good for about 2 years including heavy track days in hot Florida. I'll probably put a thin layer of toyogoop on this time around. I dont plan on replacing the cooler so I'll probably loctite it as well.

My issue was the oring split. So this should fix it.

I see. Mine kept leaking from the oil cooler fitting lines, so I bought new fittings, so hopefully it fixes the issue! Keep it updated on the fix!

If the new oring doesnt seal well, I'll probably think about welding it on. Probably a pita, but so is broken seals at the track.

Mine arent broken they just seal badly. Hence why our tuner who also tracks his car heavily has got the single piece sandwich plate. Hes seen alot of products and frequently will get something made for the local people when no decent solution exists

Is yours an early model? Supposedly the early models had leaks at the fittings that's why the newer versions have crimped fittings. Also prices were increased because of the new fittings I think.

I bought mine in Nov of 2015. Don't think they have updated it since then, but I haven't really been keeping up to date on new parts and revisions. Going to be changing the fittings tomorrow as well as installing a trd sandwich plate to hook up the oil temp/pressure gauges.

Maybe the issue is that the 45 degree fittings are angled a way so you can't 100% fully tighten them? Just a thought but what do I know.. lol

The current plan is that my car will be there, but I won't be driving it. I am lending it to another S2000 owner because his new turbo S2000 beast is still on the west coast.

So car broke down and trying to figure out what's wrong, until the shop looks at it Monday.
I was just cruising on 5th and all of a sudden loss power drop gears and as I went down in gear I lost more power.. Tried to pull in to the next parking lot and car started shaking and choked out. Tried firing it back up and it starts but shakes aggressively and then chokes out again. I had an oil leak a couple days ago from my oil cooler so that's the first thing I checked and it was low, I topped it up but didn't need much, about a quart. Tried starting again and same thing.. Looked at every hose and they are all attached, I do not get any codes or nothing. Car has fuel.
I did pressure washer the engine Bay earlier and the car was running fine all day until I drove it later in the evening.
I managed to get it pulled into the lot with some help and its parked there until it gets towed.

Any ideas?
