Infinite door detent positions. The doors need to hold open better when you're parking on an incline, and also make getting in and out easier with. Would make a nice option.

I wish the trunk opening width was just a little bit wider, like a centimeter. Would make getting a bike in the back a little easier.

Valet mode. Something to prevent illegal joyrides.

I have three main complaints with my BRZ:
1. Crappy stereo/interface. Subaru should either install a better head unit, or at least give us the WRX steering wheel with built-in audio controls to make control of the head unit easier.
2. Lack of torque and the 4k torque dip. Would have loved to see a 2.5L engine in the car, with 20-25 lb-ft more torque (and no dip).
3. Fragile paint & body. I've had more damage from hitting cones while autocrossing the BRZ two years than with all of the other cars I've autocrossed combined in the last 15 years.

Alcantara inserts on the wheel would be cool.

The frameless mirror would be nice.

White face gauges. I love white face gauges.
While having a more stripped out version sounds nice in theory, nobody actually wants that except people who aren't going to DD.

I DD my car. I even DD'd a semi-stripped RB20 swapped S13 - though winter too.
I don't feel like the things I mentioned take anything away from the car. There's already Alcantara in the car. Wouldn't make a big difference to have 2/4 quadrants of the wheel wrapped.
My 2000 Sunfire would go back to it's original place after pulling the seat forward. It's 2014, that isn't rocket science.

It also just occurred to me that the car needs a better GPS system. When you're starting out the car never knows which direction you're facing and I always seem to head the wrong way. Nor does it allow you to simply search cities or towns, or places like arenas.

I wish I had steering wheel controls for the head unit. If I could rewire the Crouse control stick to control the head unit it would be perfect. Wider stock wheels too

-Better standard infotainment system, like the ones in the 2015 Legacy and Outback
-More power (duh)
-better-looking standard wheels
-less dead cat space (fender-to-wheel gap)
-OEM taillights that don't hark back to the Toyota Altezza
-GT86 OEM armrest included as standard
(and as @Miniata mentioned) - better factory paint - this stuff is worse than nail polish!

Oh well, I've done all that myself with my 2013... would be nice if you poor bastards buying the 2015+ cars didn't have to spend as much money as I've spent to get your cars where mine is, though! Coulda bought a 2-3yr-old M3 for what I have into this silly little Scoob

Everyone's idea of a perfect Toybaru is different, and even contradictory in many aspects of the car. For example, some want more and some want less sound insulation.

Toyota set out to produce an incredible sports car, for the price of a Camry, and made it easy for every owner to customise to his perfection. I would score Toyota at 85 out of 100 points in this remarkable endeavour.

I would focus on making the Toybaru hit closer to its design goals, so more drivers can enjoy their dream sports car. Particularly, there are attributes that are not easily changed once the car leaves the assembly line that Toyota/Subaru should rectify/remedy.

My list includes:

1 A bigger fuel tank, at least 14.5 US gallons (up from the current 13.2 gal);

2 Much Less rattling and other mechanical noise that should not be there;

3 Fix the grinding of the manual gear box; and

4 Increase the wheel travel by about 15mm.

Most of the other common performance related issues can be readily ameliorated:

a Noise - sound insulation material can be added or reduced.

b More speed - light weight components (carbon drive shaft, pulleys, wheels, and flywheel) are readily available to make the drivetrain spin faster.

c Sound system and GPS - much better after-market units are there.

d Seats - many after-market to choose from (but usually quite expensive).

e Headlights - brighter light bulbs are available.

f Harsh Ride - lighter wheels, 2-piece brake rotors, and the aforementioned increase in wheel travel, will improve the ride characteristics.

HATE the Nav… I don't like it in any car though, it's obnoxious. I'm quite sure that within the next couple years, if I find a method that will fit the space right (which shouldn't be hard), I'll be getting a regular stereo w/out that obnoxious screen…

Oh. And those horrid headrests… but those, too, are in all vaguely new cars because apparently they didn't feel people could actually sit in their seats properly to avoid whiplash and thus decided to bend it forwards so you can't even sit up straight…

So, I guess nothing specific to the BRZ. Though better paint would admittedly be nice as we've already got our first little divot in our bumper…

Can't believe people want more sound deadening. It's so quiet. Perhaps that's as I'm used to our '05 WRX, with a catback…

I could prattle on about 5-6 relatively minor annoyances, but I'll just say this:

Add more power and all is forgiven. If the BRZ had 240-250hp from the factory I couldn't care less about all the minor things.

Not feasible because the engine is too low.
