error 10102 lolol the data server is really fckin up. I dont think this is so much the client/game issue than the servers not being able to sync properly.

Pretty upsetting seeing as this is a wealthy company who have already been through an mmo launch.....

yeah, square-enix actually has the WORST work policies among the gaming industry. If theres anyone on here who actually worked inside a SE studio should vouch for this. And it really affected how the company functions and fuck ups are more prominent, resulting in record high net losses. INB4 SE CEO gets fired..oh wait he just already did.

Wealth really means nothing in this regard as they cant even have a non-hostile work environment at the inner workings of SE.

Square has been 100% missing the last few years. I think the shake-ups they did should help with the future game releases. FF Versus1315 looks like a nice reboot and change.

As for FF14 it failed once, and is running down the same failure path again if they can't get the server stuff right. However, EVERY MMO has launch woes and EVERYONE always claims how X company should have planned better, etc. It's just how they all seem to work. I have yet to see a new MMO launch and NOT have issues like that.

I'm tempted by the game, but the taint of the original, and everyone's "it's not that different/better" feedback from the reboot beta is keeping me from committing. Time to get back to my overly foolish backlog of steam titles.

So a far as PC games go. Planning a PC build (always behind my car build, which is always behind.) so I can play a few games, most importantly...
Star Citizen- If you're not following it, I encourage it. It would super cool to have some forum members to run with too once it's out
Planetside 2- been in since beta, then final version comes out and it isn't compatible with my stupid laptop. (yeah yeah I know, laptops are useless)

Anyone here play planetside or plan on playing SC

I tried to play Planetside, but I didn't give it enough of a chance. The whole time I was playing I kept thinking "I'd rather play Battlefield." And then I went and played Firefall instead, haha. Speaking of which, I haven't picked that up in a while either. I didn't play much, but did get in as a founder. Enjoyed it enough to contribute to the devs.
