FYI, starting today and continuing through 07/06, 2020 Supra has four different incentives that vary by US region so YMMV but are aggressive.

-- Lease $599/mo 36 mos $2,999 due at signing
-- APR 0% 60 mos
-- APR 2.9% 72 mos
-- $3,500 Customer Cash

These apply to all trims but can't be stacked.

This is for new cars, there are other similar incentives on used cars too.

Yeah - Motortrend commented on it last year.

In the Supra's case, it was the latter. Driven to the limit, the Supra's rear suspension couldn't cope with 198's rough asphalt, braking-zone undulations, and midcorner bump-steer moments. Under such duress, the Supra felt nervous and unsettled—always trying to regain its footing rather than preparing for the next corner. Those rear-end oscillations made the steering twitchy and nervous. Even pro racer Randy Pobst had a "moment" on 198, which really tells you something.
It's apparently being "tuned" out of the 2021.

That's what I heard too. I'm hoping we'll see more "pro" reviews soon of the new steering and suspension setup instead of just the obvious bump in power.

Every car go through this rear toes movement, but issue is Supra have very short wheel base so you can feel the rear toes moving WAY more than other cars. Porshce over came this issue w way better suspension setup... while Toyota/BMW didn't feel it wasn't an issue.

I'll be honest, did I feel it? Yes, well kinda... maybe. Did I feel unsafe? No. Why? Because to get to that point, you need to be at certain speed and upward rear g's or front down g's going. Who honestly gonna have that situation? None or maybe handful.., just maybe.

Now Supra 2.0 on other hand. Didn't feel that. Of course, didn't have full chance to go 100% on 2.0... maybe front end is about 200lbs lighter made and difference. IDK, but it def enjoy canyon corners (can't say much about track corners, due to I wasn't able to track it).

Toyota engineers are aware of this issue. I'm hoping to see suspension update along w visual design update next year... but only time will tell.

I disagree with his notion that passing through zero toe is "bad". It absolutely isn't. The best setup I arrived at on my extremely bumpsteery AP1 S2000 had about 0.15 degrees static total rear toe-in, which means that it was definitely passing through zero toe under braking and turn-in. And it was much much MUCH better-behaved than when I ran it with a ton of rear toe-in which would have kept it from passing through zero.

I wonder what his toe settings are with this Supra...
.15° or .15”?

Like I said, 0.15° total rear toe-in

When I first tracked the new-to-me AP1 in '07 I ran the then-s2ki-forum-recommended amount of ~0.64 degrees total. It was a disaster. Garbage nonlinear/spooky handling and insane rear tire wear. Inadvertently ran 0.15 degrees total a couple of events later when I asked for 0.15 per side and they gave me that total. Went to track with that setup because too late to "fix". Handling was transformed, and rear tire life more than doubled.

This guy in the video keeps referring to "instability" when the tires are parallel, which is b.s. Apparently he's trying to avoid parallelism and I have to wonder if he's dialled in a ton of rear toe-in to ensure there's *always* some rear toe-in under dynamic conditions. If so, that's why his handling characteristics are so bad. Should run minimal rear toe-in and allow dynamic zero toe (or even dynamic toe-out). It worked wonders for me with the AP1 S2000 which I'm sure has more of a dynamic rear toe-change issue than the MkV Supra.

Yay on the Supra. But nothing we didn't already know.

At least the NA1 NSX on that top rack and the cute dog with the diaper made it worth watching. Lol.
