I paid the 1200, the dealer doing his thing was not an issue.
mine was a new car delivery, so nano seal for windows and fabric protection. Yes I paid more than I should have but probably only 400 more considering I got all the inside protection etc and two coats. Was I a little ripped off Probably, is it worth getting annoyed about it? No as it's in the past lol. He also used the clay bar to remove shit.

I ended up paying ~1600$ for everything.

65$ for the opti-coat
500$ for detailing the entire exterior, decontamination, wheel wells, engine, exhaust etc
1000$ for clear film application of full hood, front bumper, fenders and headlights

Everything is booked in for next weekend so we'll see how it goes.

"Opticoat being supported by ft86club.com since 2012"

I swear this forum should be getting a cut from OptiCoat for how much promotion goes on in here. It's like no one on here as ever heard of anything else. The bandwagon is strong with this forum lol

I'm not one to jump on bandwagons believe me, so I did a bit of research (not here, obviously) and for long-term paint protections it certainly compares very favourably to other products...

Hey guys, thought I'd just drop this bit of info if there's any 86 owners in far north queensland looking for optiguard (not opticoat, the good stuff). I recently got it done for $400ish in Townsville, at a car detailing workshop called gloss detailing (google is your friend) and they're the only accredited optiguard applicator in that city.

Had my car OptiCoated twice and had it ceramic coated with Nextzen, the latest out there, 6mths ago. For a 2013 GTS the cars paint work is brilliant! Not cheap but when it comes to ceramic coating you don’t get a second chance to touch it up so it’s not something you want to let an amateur do. The prep, even for a new car, or is the trick and what takes the time and effort.
