That's how the JDM one comes as well. The Flexible V-Bars were originally designed to replace the Flexible Tower Bar (running both together results in slightly higher NVH). The short shifter and bushings have to be bought separately.

Don't you dare.
The daily...sure, replace it with the BRZ TS...but that NSX, you'll regret it!

That's what I'll be doing. I'm moving in with my fiancee, so I need to cut it down to one car due to lack of parking at the new place. I want something that combines the best parts of my AE86, S30, and um, CR-Z, and the tS is special enough to fit the bill.

This. I was looking for an NSX for a few months but resigned due to simply not being in the right financial situation for one at current prices. I "settled" for a BRZ because it has the same spirit and philosophy of an NSX, and I don't regret it a single bit but if I had the money I would hold tight to an NSX. Either way he should do what makes him happy but my 2 cents.

I spoke with the Product specialists at the LA show who said that the tS will be February production with March delivery. This morning I received a text from two dealers relaying the same information, take that as you will.

Australia tS pricing was released today.
https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car...ches-39894orc/

They also get a tS automatic. Other than that and not having the cf GT wing/STI body kit, it's pretty much the same spec as ours.
The price of their base model is $25,835 US to our $25,595.
However, their tS is only $30,323 US, which is substantially less than the JDM model. Keep in mind that the Australian version doesn't have any or the aero or GT wing the US version has.
I'll be really surprised if the US version is close to that.

Based on this, the US BRZ tS should price at approximately $34,599.

I get this is a `lip stick limited` car, and even the JDM have those seats but... at 35K USD... adjusted for inflation is the same price as my 2005 STi... with weird interior colors and it not really feeling special. I personally see 18s as a downgrade.

https://www.saving.org/inflation/inf...?amount=30,000

I want to support this edition. It is nice. I just have a hard time with the extra that is(n't) being given and the additional fee associated.

I guess I see the BRZ PP as the REAL content add that is undervalued.

I wish I could agree. I have tried to let it sit and ruminate, hoping I would see the logic in a different colored Limited interior. But, I can't. It just feels "Pep Boys" to me.

Regardless, great information! Glad to see it making its way to the US!

I hope some people will be happy!

Lol, I didn't say that was worth buying it for. Just that the interior looks good.

And there's plenty of value to be had buying the car without, but especially with the PP itself, if you know what you're buying it for. If you're looking at it as apples to apples with an 05 STi then I think that's your issue.

It's not meant for the same purposes, IMO. Now, is it overly expensive? Yeah, quite possibly. But I definitely don't think it's meant to fair on an apples to apples comparison with an STi.

Sure. I getcha.

I still, personally, don't see the interior `looking good`. However, I have never been a fan of two-tone interiors. Content and materials wise, I don't see anything better than the Limited.

And, since they are the same value, I definitely see it as apples to apples. Those are my dollars that have already bought those apples and could be buying those apples, after all. And the prices are OEM pricing vs. OEM pricing.

Not trying to derail. I will stop there.

I am not comparing it to a $25k deprecated C5z06, afterall

I don't think the seat treatments look good, not against the old JDM tS seats or even the plain Limited interior, but the rest of the car is an upgrade, especially for Scion or Toyota guys and even for a bunch of Subaru folks that's didn't purchase the PP, and I say this after having started with a 13 Limited and having upgraded almost everything on this car already.

Different strokes, I guess, because I don't think an STI is an upgrade either, especially not of that vintage, lol. More OEM dollars spent doesn't always mean it's an upgrade. A bunch of WRX guys that paid less than the cost of Limited or Series edition or PP equipped BRZs would probably disagree that a BRZ is an upgrade for them, and on the other hand a bunch BRZ guys that are satisfied would probably disagree that a WRX or an STI is an upgrade. At least, I happen to be in that category. Again, different strokes.
