Ok, I've read this whole thread carefully, and it's a total waste of time.
I want my money back.

Other than all the reasons everyone else listed, the biggest reason not to do it is you piss every single other person on the road off - and if you piss enough people off, given enough time, the likelihood of getting shot trends toward certainty. Yes, it's bad for your car and dangerous, but it's also bad for keeping your chest hole free.

Driving behind someone who's brakelights are constantly on is just as bad as driving behind someone with no brake lights whatsoever. When (not if) you ride the brakes, if you have to emergency stop - you are going to be rear ended.

I left foot brake when I'm rallying. I would not do it during regular driving just because how uncomfortable it is. All safety issues aside, you are basically squishing your manhood with your legs the whole time while twisted to the right. Its almost like sitting next to a fat guy on the bus.

This is the biggest problem with left foot braking in my opinion..
Is op female or something?

Didn't read past the first page of garbage remarks and stick shift trolls. To answer your question, it's great, no problem or issues (if you know what you are doing). Pedal placement is pretty good. Not retarded like typical garbage VW family products. Not as great as some of the English products that just seem designed for left foot braking. Ergonomics are comfortable enough for the track or many hundreds of miles of travel.

It is not.
Yeah, too bad. Back in the V10 F1 era, every driver in Formula 1 was a left foot braker except for like two (Rubens Barrichello, forget the other). The newer post V10 and KERS software/regulations apparently ruined left-foot braking when Schumacher tried to make his comeback.

Apparently a lot of trolls here have former Formula 1 drivers as their grandmothers...

This can not be stressed enough. This is not a decision to take lightly. You must commit to it and practice practice practice. Otherwise you will be a danger in panic situations if you approach it like an occasional fad.

Absolutely. And I did just that. It is easy to miss among nine pages of bashing me, but I said above that I already did 30 or 50k miles (I don't remeber when exactly I started) left foot braking. That was about 2-3 years. First I practiced only in very light traffic, then gradually in more normal traffic but without passengers (braking was far from gentle in the beginning). Been in a few emergency situations, including emergency braking, approaching a curve way too fast on wet road, dealing with oblivious drivers changing lanes into me, sliding on an icy road, etc, and I was fine. I drove a few rental cars this way as well.

Now it feels very natural, and pretty comfortable. To commenters who expressed concern about my testicles: not sure why you are so interested, but they are doing great.

WOW! ...........148 posts and I haven't commented .....

@mdm ,it makes no never mind to me, which foot you use to stop your machine ...... because ...... when you're 90 years old and run through a shop at the strip mall and tell the Officer you got your left foot mixed up with your right foot ...... I won't be around .......

Just for fun, I decided to try it too!

On an unrelated note, looking to part out a '13 FR-S. Possible frame damage. Two wheels are perfect, the rears, as are the tail lamps...
