Replacement pads and rotors. Pricing

So my FRS is now 60,000km and are in need of brakes and rotors. Does anyone know when Canadian tire usually have their brakes on sale?

Or if anyone can recommend street/oem equivalent brake pads and rotors?

I just need pricing for the parts, I can do them on my own

Look at Powerstop "Track Day" pads. I have them on my car and love them. No fade on the track and quiet enough for street use.

It's still worth it to buy from TireRack if you are open to crossborder pickups. I buy Centric blanks.

Otherwise, I go to Touge Tuning for the same thing.

i did mine last year

rotors were about 100$ each OEM (200ish per axle)
and i think pads were about 100 ish per axle (OEM)

i would recommend OEM if you want another easy, quiet, 60k out of them

Check out maxbrakes.com. I was told by another member on here that he got 4 cross-drilled rotors and ceramic pads all the way around for less than $250, and good quality. They had a booth at CSCS this past summer.

I'm at 130k on my original brakes, or at least I believe they are original. I don't recall ever paying for a full brake replacement; I did do a brake service at one point however. They may have replaced the pads at that time but I can't recall. Anyways, I'm in need of replacements soon too and will plan to order through these guys if that pricing is accurate and the product is good, cause that seems like a steal.

Try rockauto.com

They are the cheapest for parts and ship to Canada, not sure if customs and stuff is additional and couldn't find it in their FAQ

What dealership were rotors $100 each?? When I called, they were $175 each for fronts and $150 each for rears.

I ended up going with centric blanks instead, every bit as good as OEM.

To the OP, if you're not tracking or autoxing the car, I'd stick with OEM/equivalent for rotors/pads.

Forgive my ignorance. What exactly are centric blank rotors? Is that a brand?

Centric is the brand, they have several lines, for example, this is likely the street/OEM equivalent, but if one were to pick them up, I would double check and re-confirm the fit using their site/picker or other source.
eg
http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....504006&jsn=418
via
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/s...hub,rotor,1896

I did not replace yet on FRS, but I got OEM type Centric Premium rotors and posiquiet pads for my Mazda 3 and so far am very happy.

Rockauto has great pricing and with shipping (and without brokerage fee crap) was cheaper than JRP quote, not sure on other places that offer them.

Shop around, get quotes, decide!

How have these pads lasting on the track?
What is a comparable track pad? (in Carbotech, Ferodo, Winmax or ?)

They seem to be marketed as a street/track pad; The price is right. I'm currenting running Hawk HP+, and I'm not overheating them yet (stock power, and TW220 tires). The 86 crowd suggest I move to Winmax W5 next.

Hawk HP+ over heated and faded on me. I got a full summer of track days out of my Powerstop Track Day pads.
