Kit installed

Well, I spent the last 2 weeks slowly and methodically installing the JDL turbo kit, Mishimoto low profile fans and Velox AOS. The JDL kit itself went pretty smooth. Nearly everything bolted up perfectly, though the oil pan gasket making process has me super nervous. Had to cut about 1/3 inch off the top of the intercooler support bracket, but no biggie, it might have even been fine without cutting. The AOS system though, guessing there's an extra vacuum line or something on the automatics because getting to the rear PCV without removing the intake manifold was an absolute nightmare. Not near as easy as the install video on their website for it. Also, sad to find out that the cam block plate and auto-drain connection won't work on an automatic. Guess I don't get that luxury.

Last thing to install is the Mishimoto oil cooler, it's obviously not going to mount as Mishimoto intended because I have an intercooler there now, BUT I was wondering if there was any harm in mounting it vertically? Worried about space for air to hit it through the bumper. Thoughts, opinions, concerns? See pics. Also, don't hate on my dirty engine bay, I'll be cleaning it up when it's running again.

Not sure if it matters but the HKS oil cooler is mounted sideways. A quick web search will show pics of theirs mounted.

Anyone know this (specific) Car/Owner/History?

https://rpmgaragetx.com/2018-subaru-...-75229/7132410

It is modified (Loks to be a JDL Kit, suspension, exhaust,), so thinking someone here may know of it, and its history?

DM me if you prefer, looking for the 411 on mods and history if anyone knows the car, thanks..

I have my kit and I've started the installation. Since this seems to be the newest JDL turbo kit owner's thread, I figured I would post here.

I already have a Mishimoto oil cooler. I'm curious about what others have done about mount theirs since it mounts to the bumper by default.

Given that point, JDL confirmed that the bumper would need to be trimmed to fit or I would need to get a bash bar. Since I really don't want to spend the money on the JDL Bash Bar right now, does anyone have any pics of how they trimmed their bumper to fit the v2 JDL intercooler?

Also, for those reading, you can mount an oil cooler in any orientation/direction you want. Oil pressure pushes the oil through so it doesn't matter which way it's oriented as long as you have it secured.

So how are people tuning for their tubo kits now that Ecutek has the new restrictions in place?

It is my understanding that they are using a European image since it does not have the same restrictions. Personally, I'm counting on that.

Check out this thread since it seems to indicate that there is a workaround: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=152923&page=5

as for now you can't tune an EBCS with an USDM tune nor you can convert to EU roms either

you either have to use CAN boost controllers, or find someone who hasn t updated ecutek in the last 15 months

One possible way could also be emailing ecutek support and tell them you live now in Europe with an american car
They can remotely force your kit to flash an EU rom

EU roms up until racerom patch 12.3 can use and override analog I/O
Racerom patch 13 delete analogs I/O like they did with USDM
