No more Toyota Boxer engines

Toyota is going with their own engine, with smaller engines with Turbos like most manufacturers now. Toyota made a mistake putting a BMW engine in the Supra now it’s coming to an End. https://www.topspeed.com/toyota-dropping-boxer-engine/

I have been driving my FRS since the day they came out.

I once posted that this car would be even more amazing if they put a "real" engine in the chassis.

The flames were epic!

If Toyota were to put a real engine in the GT86 I would be in the market for a new car.

The Subaru engine has not done anything bad, its not like I even crave more power from this pancake; it is just offensive to anyone who appreciates elegant engineering.

Thank goodness. The worst thing on the vehicle is the POS engine.

If a future gen includes a turbocharged Toyota engine from the factory, I'd also be looking to replace my 1st gen.

This rumor again.

Also sounds like proposed new car would step on the new Celica’s return

Lol I could see Toyota putting a 1.6L turbo motor in and because it doesn't produce 300hp like the GR Corolla, people would cry. So it will still be the same story, different title.
