Let's talk coolant necks. I thought maybe you guys could lend some insight since you've already been there.
Here is the TSX coolant neck ![]() Here is the head ![]() Finally here is the Kpower miata neck. To me, due to the design this is ripe for trapping air bubbles in the back of the head. I don't think there is a way to solve that with this neck but I'm thinking it's at least worth smoothing out to flow better. Does the 86 specific neck look different in this area? ![]()

86 water neck has the same size and location opening. Only thing I could think of to modify for air entrapment is a bleed valve drilled/tapped into that same cavity. I believe there is already a tapped hole above that cavity with the Miata neck. Maybe there is an off the shelf threaded bleed valve that can be placed there and solve the problem.
I will say that once I added the second heater line bleeding became less of an issue. |

Agreed, I have not had any issue with bleeding mine but I have had the second line the entire time.

Can't believe kpower wants us to purchase that relay. It should have been there in the beginning.

There are a number of things that I feel that way about, I think it is kinda weird how quiet the FB group is in terms of issues / post-release updates / extremely suggested deviations from the base kit / etc.

Anyone have a shifter extension with this kit? Does it retain reverse lockout? Does it add any NVH? Drove a porsche for a few days loved how high the shift knob was.....

I'm running a Shifter Solutions 1" extension. It does add a smidge of NVH but I like it considerably more than without. LINK to the one I bought HERE |

I think a few people are reusing IRP shifters too with the kit right?
On a separate note, does anybody know of anyone running the TF Header? I've been tempted by it even though its pricey, only thing I can find so far is that they test fit it on one 86. But no users that I can find of it yet, maybe I need to look at other chassis they sell to?

https://www.tf-works.com/tf-k-series...ise-na-header/ If you can ask for a dimension that it extends out from the valve cover one of us could measure for interference issues / how far it is from the radiator hose and frame rail to give you an idea for heat management.

Yup, that one, I'll have to check and see if they have any dimensions, thanks for the tip!
