No no no, you use ANTISIEZE on the O2 sensor threads!
Unless you like having to heat the O2 sensor and header up to red hot to remove the O2 sensor in the future... |

yeah should be fine, the stock header had a huge heat manifold that made the washer snug

Make sure you get the blue label. Avoid green and red, which would make it a permit seize.

NO. Do not use thread locker! Antisieze is what you need. If the threads in the header or O2 sensor are messed up, chase the threads. You can use a thread file too if needed. |

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I know it's highly recommended to replace the gaskets between the header and the engine and overpipe, but I've read many recommend unbolting the front pipe to the mid pipe to maneuver the overpipe away from the header to allow it's removal.
My question is, should the gasket be replaced between the mid pipe and front pipe? Also, apologies if I've gotten my exhaust terminology incorrect. |

I thought it was just my car? I know I have a shitty gasket between the mid-pipe and axleback, I figured it just got worse over time..... maybe I didn't have to order new gaskets after all and it's jut the tune?
![]() Ah well, the axleback gasket and the donut gasket are getting changed out anyway! |
