For a stick on kit... Not trying to be that guy, but do you have someone to flush for you too?
OP, there are a few threads around on this. There is also a link to the authentic install in there somewhere. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51501

All you have to make sure is to double or triple layer 3m tape by stack them together. One single layer is not thick enough to touch the surface.
Edit: Above applies to side skirts and rear spats. NOT front lip. Last edited by nunonuna; 08-06-2014 at 09:19 AM. |

It will never come off because kit has some hardwares to screw on. 3m tape must be used on side skirt and rear spat. Otherwise it will never sit right and there are more chances for parts to fall. You may not know what body kit we are talking about, but I know because I own same kit and installed it. Reason why I said double or triple layer of 3m tape is because single layer of 3m is not thick enough to make contact for both side. Its been discussed with some of members about same issue with same kit.

I got it in the mail yesterday and i know they say put it out in the sun so it can take its original shape, but all that does is make it flexible, so do i warp it up with a heat gun or blow dryer and then bolt it in? I have to force the urethane to take shape on the bumper? Idk
