OK so you had about 4 gallons of gas left this drops the e85 to about e50 since the two fuels do mix. The car is designed to take up to e15 so the gap is now at only 35. Not so horrible when you look at it that way. Just burn it off (it will burn off faster than gas) and fill it back up and the percentage will continue to go down. Do not panic if you get a CEL since the E85 burns different and there is more oxygen which will mess with your O2 sensors. The light should go out once things clear up.

Ok so don't top it off just burn it out first? It only has 6,000 miles on it so it's a new car idk if that maybe makes it better

Either way it doesn't matter. If you top it off, it'll just delude the e85 even more. Until you're at a nice e15 or similar. Or just run the tank out and fill up with premium at that point.

Burn some off. Top it up. Repeat until all is good. Don't need to go gallon by gallon for the top ups though. You will be fine.

LOL yep it is important that you fool that e85 as much as possible.

Ahhhh damnit my laughing woke the wife! It is usually Ultra that gets me in trouble.

I do love a good typo though.

Ok so my friends dad works for a gas company and he says there isn't really e85 in utah it's 85 octane. Do you think it could be this? I look online and there are a few places that says they sell it but he says it's just 85 octane

Whole different ball game now. Just drive until you need gas and fill 'er up when you want. You will lose a little power but that is all. It is probably 85 octane unless you got it at one of the 4 stations listed in the State.

As do I. It's way too late for me to focus on proper spelling and I can't even blame it on the iPhone this time

Now that you mention it, I'm also from Utah and I can't imagine how you'd accidentally go to one of the only 4 e85 stations in the state. You only have one station in a 25 mile radius from Ogden.

85 octane isn't ideal but regardless of if it was 85 octane or e85, the same principle remains, drain the tank and fill it with premium and just know that the car won't function optimally until then.
