Oft e85 issues

On cold starts i get popping nosies coming from engine and rpm jumps around, and boggs. Didnt have this issue until switched to e85 with oft tune.
Mods:
Light crank pulley
Injen intake
Headers
Over pipe
Cat delete
Cat back exhaust

Third tank of e85 started happening since 2nd tank. Wondering if i should be worried.

If it only happens during initial startup in first 15 sec or so its probably ok on a cold morning like 30f .

If its a warm day and its happening after startup then thats not sounding too good look up di seal failure

If your original rom calid was 700 900 or a00 series then the transient knock retart which helps with di seal problems was not implempted it started on a01 and above series roms ie a01c.
Oft tines incorporate it.

It's fine , misfire when engine is cold causes small burps and backfires in intake manifold, that's the popping sound. Add a gallon of gas to your tank might help.

This is what the issue is. It is normal and happens in stupid cold weather with e10.

I'm on my second tank of E85. Each time I start the car for the first time in the morning, the motor starts reluctantly and then cuts out. It starts on the second try, stays running, and there do not seem to be any performance issues. It's not cold in the mornings or overnight, and the car has been garaged.

Typical, or concerning? I'm running the latest Stage 2 E85 EL bin.

I actually get some mild misfiring and popping on e0 when it's REALLY cold out (like -20*C), both the stock ROM and OFT stage 1.

I recently started checking and logging Ethanol percentages too see if there is a correlation between performance and mixture. I recommend everyone on E85 does this. The federal allowable range is 51-83% and I can't believe that even a conservative tune will run as well towards the lower end of Ethanol concentration when compared to 70%+.

Shiv explains it here pretty well. In short ecu will adjust fuel trims to compensate for E% within those ranges E60-E90. Even E50 will have enough octane rating to prevent knock with timing used on a NA FA20 motor.
