Does anyone have pictures of how an S2000 transmission fits into the car? I've heard the shifter location is way off, but seen no pictures.

Do you guys know where the circled wire clip is supposed to attach to? Is the top part of the harness routed incorrectly? Thanks.

Bonus question - what is the barb that goes from the IM to the brake booster? I bought my IM used and it's missing.

I think the barb is 1/8 npt to 5/8. Someone else can confirm.

There is a bolt off the back of the engine I used.

Found this thread at k20a.org:
Flow bench results - 4Piston ProTSX vs Honda F20C1

Apparently 4piston stuff sucks ass everything from their complete engines to their head work and the head myself and likely a few others have put on as part of their swap doesn't flow nearly as much as 4piston claims. This is the "4Piston ProTSX" aftermarket head that is compatible with the kpower swap kit.

Personally I found a 30whp gain from their head and a set of Toda A3 cams. So take that thread as you will and use your best judgement!

My friend with a Lotus Exige is the one with the k20a.org thread about the 4Piston motor experience. Short story is he paid $13k and waited 6mo for a 2.5L K360 that showed up with the wrong valve cover and no build specs.

Car finally got finished last week by Trackspec (pretty reputable Lotus shop) and was tuned by Blacktrax (pretty reputable tuner). It ended up making significantly less torque than my stock + cams K24 does and he blew the HG after three sessions on his first test day at Laguna Seca this past weekend. Same shop has another customer with another K360 that also lost the HG in an event or two. 4Piston says it isn't their problem.

The more I see about 4Piston the more I'm like lol no.

Thanks for the full scoop! That's wild man and sucks to hear - do you know if their dynos are posted anywhere? For a small moment I thought about getting a long block from 4piston, glad I didn't!. Although honestly I've been happy with my head purchase don't get me wrong but I think that will be the first and last time I shop with 4piston.

Yeah, I mean no knock on you, it is working for you.

This is his dyno, top line is full power tune and bottom is the detune for another class he wanted to run. Fuel is 91 and it is a 2.5L K360 with RR3 cams.

FWIW, Stance Works blew his K24 turbo Ferrari with a 4Piston motor. He said they are going to do a teardown and figure out what went wrong. He isn't blaming them, but I'm sure that is because they are taking care of him, and in general, he tries to stay positive and not throw anyone under the bus or call foul on any shop, using his platform as a bad Yelp review. He didn't even do it when a shop in the EU stiffed him of a body kit worth thousands.

Anyone have real world experience with both the steel flywheel and the aluminum flywheel? Currently have the aluminum, but wondering if it's worth it to go steel on the next clutch replacement to reduce NVH as my car is primarily a DD. But at the same time I'd hate to go steel and feel like I lost a bunch of performance...

Decided to get the steel flywheel after a bunch of feedback on facebook.

Revisiting the aluminum shift rod thing again since KPower said they're not fixing it...

A fellow KBRZ friend ordered a new one and did some measuring.
Shift rod hole diameter: .3900"
Shift rod pin diameter: .3890"

The shift rod that ate my clutch/motor with a year of track days on it:
Shift rod hole diameter: between .3970" and .4040" depending on the hole
Shift rod pin diameter: .3865" at wear area

He is making new ones out of steel with a few adjustments to prevent wear.

I may have seen the same post on FB. I wonder if compounding the issue of material selection is due the the linkage not being horizontal anymore, now it's putting vertical stresses into as well.

I wrote KPower an email outlining the issue and how to solve it in October. They told me they'd seen the issue before and that they would consider updating the design in the future, but nothing was planned.

Short story is the clearance between the selector and transmission selector input / shifter need to be closed up so that the load is put through the ears instead of through the pin and into the soft aluminum holes, as well as the thing being made out of steel.

Another post was made in the FB group today, I wasn't trying to be mean to David but the whole swap kit has been pretty frustrating - I wrote a long post about it on another forum a couple of weeks ago and the number of issues surprised even me.

Sucks to hear about the shifter rod troubles you guys are having. I really would consider shortening the stock assembly and rod as an alternative to the "dssr" stuff if you have access to someone that can do a little welding. I don't think our trans needs a dssr personally. Originally I thought my setup would be a step back in shifter feel, but what I found was quite the opposite.
