Window Issue

I hope this isn’t redundant but I’ve searched and tried all the common resets.

It’s been cold here in ATL. There was some ice on the car when I left work last night. But as far as I can remember I put my stuff in the trunk and didn’t open the passenger door. I did open that door before driving to work today and when I parked I noticed the window was stuck in the “open the door” position.

So the current status is pax window cracked to the open position. The drivers door window and switch normal. Drivers door pax window switch dark. Pax window switch flashing.

Will pulling the battery power off help? I have a long drive coming up this week and need to fix this.

Thx-

Tom

Get the car plenty defrosted, pull the positive terminal for a bit with both doors open. Put positive back on the battery and give the passenger side a good hard close and see if it registers/can move.

If not, I'd take the door panel off and see what's going on in there

roll the window all the way down, open the door, close the door, roll it back up, check.

i've also rolled the window down, opened the door, rolled the window back up, and then closed the door.

the door sensor got tricked somewhere and just needs to figure out again how to close all the way.

So my dumb ass had the window lock on. That prevented the normal resets from working. Must have done it in my initial troubleshooting.

After ****ing around with disconnecting the battery several times I figured it out. Funny thing though, every time I reconnected the battery the window went down a couple more inches. You didn’t have to wait either just tap the terminal on the battery and it happened. I finally had it all the way down when I did the successful reset.

Anyway, road-trip saved.

Happy New Year y’all.
