Has anyone had any luck ordering these recently? Sent a request a few days ago to MCA through their website but haven't heard back.

They're probably out racing, that's what they do. Also remember its always tomorrow there so avoid emailing them on our Friday or Saturday, they'll be closed. |

For those looking to get these, I still haven't heard back from MCA. I ended up ordering from MRT Performance.

Unfortunate that they're $320 USD but if you convert the Australian pricr to dollars it's like $270.

I took a left turn at an intersection pretty quickly the other day and was astonished at how much grip the car had; it felt like it was on rails. It felt like it hunched down and really grabbed the road. The thing is, I can't always replicate that feeling, even on the same turn. It's only happened once. The other times it just feels like all the weight and compression is on the front suspension and overworking the front tires while the rear doesn't hunch down and grip very much. I'm an ok driver with lots to learn. Will these help give me that "on rails" feeling? I crave it. I'm on stock suspension. 2014 FR-S 6 speed, relatively stock on all-season Toyos.
I've got a Strano front 22mm sway bar and camber bolts waiting to go in. |

MCA brackets move roll stiffness forward a bit, that's how they get you extra traction.
The 22 mm front bar is pretty fierce for stock rear springs. Increasing front camber will help a bit. Fitting Bilstein shocks will help a lot. The stock rear shocks are just not a good match for the stock rear springs. Had you not gone up to a 22 mm front bar (is the Strano solid or tubular?) I would recommend you consider fitting 2017 rear springs with the Bilsteins. Softer rear springs get you even more traction but move the roll stiffness even further forwards. A stock 2017 rear bar (15 mm so about 30% stiffer) could help offset that if you went with the softer rear springs. Other aftermarket suppliers offer 16 mm rear bars, Whiteline's rear bar has three adjustment holes giving a lot of options in terms of total bar stiffness. Also, be careful you don't confuse off camber road surface effects with roll stiffness effects. These cars are quite prone to drift a little on reverse or off camber turns. |

Dumb question time: Would these have any benefit on a lowered car? Car already has adjustable trail, toe, and lower control arms. lowered maybe 2 inches or so on coilovers..

The effect is diminished on a lowered car since lowering changes the angle of the rear trailing arms.

Ordered this Wednesday, was quite the adventure as they don't have international shipping from the site. Process started Monday.

From my experience, it was cheaper to order this part from Fensport in the UK Vs. direct from MCA in Australia.

That will allow immediate purchase as opposed I had to wait for them to generate an invoice, respond to questions and then pay via Paypal. I might have preferred to pay the extra 35 bucks to not have to wait. |

I believe it has a slight negative effect on roll center.
