all i can ever think of anymore with the c30's is 'vampire/twilight'

that was really the only thing that stuck with me from those movies.. that a 'family' of uber-rich vampires would choose to fill their vehicle stables with volvo's...

Well, I'm no vampire but I am considering ordering a Polestar 2 with the performance package. Then, both my cars will have Ohlin's.

??? the point is greater utility, whether it's for taking stuff to the track or going on a trip.

It woulda been a great idea...

The whole *point* of a shooting brake is to have a smallish, short-wheelbase sports/sporty car with a bit more utility. It wouldn't change the nature of the car at all. *IF* they were to make one, surely they'd keep the "normal" one as well, so no need for anyone to get undies in a twist over it anyway...

Wasn't getting my "undies in a twist". It wasn't my intention to start any shit or come off as confrontational. I was just stating my opinion.

I feel like while it does have a shorter wheelbase,it also has a little bit more width, which seems counterintuitive to the spirit of the car. I never saw this car as a grocery getter, but more akin to how a Miata is. It's just a fun little car that's meant for spirited driving, and imo making a shooting brake version doesn't go along with that.

I guess it's kind of interesting to see what it would look like, but I don't think there's ever a snowball's chance in hell that it would ever become a reality.

By "shorter wheelbase" I meant relative to "normal" sedans and wagons. For sure any FT86 shooting brake would have the same wheelbase and width as the normal version.

Why not? Same car, just with some additional space. No reason fun during spirited drives should be impacted at all.
Miata shooting brake would also be a fine idea

Agreed. And it's too bad...

Truth be known, it wouldn't sell great but a clown shoe configuration has it's cultlike following.

There was a JDM car importer that used to be near where I live that had a Japan import BMW Z3M clownshoe and had I not already started with twin, I'd have been all over it. This was maybe 4 years ago and they had a ton of JDM you guys in the US would have flipped for. Sadly they moved away after one Japanese import Alfa was sitting on asphalt with its wheels missing and other asst bullshit. I literally saw evry Japanese legend except Toyota 2000 GT and the small Toyota roadster and early Honda Roadster were not there. Honda Beat Kei yes though.

I love Japanese style cars. Their system makes people keep their cars nice and keep ordering new every couple of years. If I was in Australia I'd be through a succession of dream JDM cars.

I also really liked the styling of the C30. It's too bad they never put a hot hatch drivetrain in the car.

Well...they did in the Polestar C30, but it was an annoying teaser non-production car they made which meant we get to know how awesome it is from journalists who drove it...only nobody will get to own one much less drive one.

Lol why bother teasing these? As cool as it would be to have I just see no point teasing it.

Why do people want to make this car look like an econobox?
