Huh? Please explain how or why Toyota would sink millions into developing a bespoke engine for this platform (the 86) then charge the same or roughly the same price for the added displacement and power. Then, since Subaru is building the 86, find a factory and assembly line to accommodate this new model.

Have you seen the price of the special editions like the BRZ TS ($33,500)? How would a TRD/STI model not cost $38-40k minimum and still be reliable? The transmission would need upgrading, the.... well, I could go on. Your statements are non-nonsensical.

You might be thinking of the RC 200t, but at just over 40K base, it is a full step up in price. Additionally, it weighs 1000 more pounds but only has 41 more HP. It is a nice looking car. They drive nice too. But, IMO it is a nice car that's sporty, not a sports car.

Have you seen the Dodge Charger or Dodge Challenger? That is what happens when you make a sports car on a sedan platform.

Of course, this doesn't mean we will never get it. It really depends on how well the different models sell. Usually the cheaper one sells well, but if it sells really well overseas then maybe they would reconsider it here.

The overall shape is nice, but I just think the details are too "busy".

Nah I won't lord over it! I also said that there was no way they would sell the Supra for under $50K and they proved that wrong.

I think he was pretty clear that it won't come here but stay optimistic.

You really should lighten up, living life as aggravated and as salty as you do isn't good for your mental or emotional health. If you channeled all the energy you waste being a complete idiot into being, I don't know, intelligent and thoughtful, you wouldn't have as many issues in life, like buying cars at McDonald's and spamming "LOLOLOLOL" repeatedly thinking it's winning you any arguments.

Honestly I don't know how the other nice and friendly people on these forums have put up with you for so long, but you're easily the most unwelcoming person I've ever met not just on this forum, but across all forums I've ever been on, and trust me, as someone who browses reddit daily, that encompasses A LOT of people.
Meh. I am nice and friendly to those that are not total goofs. Just because I disagree with people and am willing to speak up doesn't make me bad. May I point out that you were the one that started with the personal attacks that had nothing to do with the topic. All I did was say you were spewing opinionated bullshit as fact. You were and still continue.
Oh and the LOL means I am actually LOLing. You funny.
OK so not McDonalds then go back to washing cars until you save for your Stang bro.

Have you seen what other cars have a 7:40 time? We really need to wait for an official before we compare, but regardless, why compare a more luxurious, grand touring, sports car to a supped up econo box? The Supra is somewhere between the GT86 and an LC500.

Just to note: a Blitz modified MKIV Supra with 606hp ran the ring in 7:49.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...eife_lap_times

Congrats to Honda for running a 7:43, but they supped up an econobox. The two cars aren't in the same class.

Would you like to give a hypothetical that is based in reality instead of one that is based on when pigs fly?
