Question Blind Spots?

Based on the current concept models, are blind spots on the FR-S/BRZ going to be prevalent? I'm not quite as certain as how the bar separating the side window with the littler window would affect your vision. For those that have driven in similar (build?) cars, can you lend a thought?

Lol, alright, but if you properly align the side mirrors so you basically see to the right and left of the car (without seeing the side of the car [I really wish I had a picture]), are the blind spots any different than say... a sedan version with those slightly larger door windows?

If it's bad enough just get some spot mirrors. I drive an HHR panel wagon and I'm fine with just the mirrors.

Blind spots can be a serious problem, like on some convertibles and on my '08 Fit. But, let's face it, we don't know nearly enough right now to say one way or the other about the blind spots on the FT-86. No one has seen a production version yet. Remember?

Good question, but too early to say. :happy0180:

Proper mirror adjustments:
[u2b]KwzUE6PHk4U[/u2b]

If you've been driving with your mirrors wrong for any period of time, learning to use properly set mirrors can be odd for a while. Don't worry, if you have decent spacial awareness, you will adapt, and be a better, safer driver for it.

For me, it will depend on the seats. Usually the headrest gets in the way for a side check on the driver's side. However, the back window might be a little problematic since it will probably be very narrow.

I turn my head to check also, but with proper mirror usage as posted by oneday you don't need to. At least I can see cars in my peripheral vision and still see them in my mirrors with the way mine are angled. I learned that lesson 18 years ago when I almost sideswiped someone.

True, I always turn and check even with the mirrors adjusted (dunno, habit?). Though I do understand that anything we see on these concept models don't exactly translate to the real product :/

And... VenomRush, do you have anything better to suggest? Lol, I'd rather have some discussion than no discussion on a forum...

Maybe its from riding bikes (motorbikes, not pushbikes) I always do a lifesaver when changing lanes... a quick glance over my shoulder... its saved me a few times!
