Those wing options are all neat and good, but need to check with your organization.
"...and can only run OEM aero - as in it had to be a factory option." Is going to mean vastly different things to different organizations, such as the SCCA Solo discussion above. As an example, per SCCA Solo rules and Street Touring, you can run the full 'STi' lip kit because it's an option in the regular BRZ accessory booklet. If the parts were only listed in the STi booklet and not the regular BRZ booklet, then they wouldn't be legal. The underbody panels are factory on the 2017-2020 BRZs with the performance pack. I'm not sure about the 'base' models. They are probably also factory on the TRD optioned 17-20 GT86s. |

The front panels on the other hand have changed in design. There's now an additional part that clips on at the very front (norcalpb called it a 'puck'). from https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...41&postcount=1 Both pieces are listed as superceding the original panel, but if you just look for the old part number, you get only the panel (as given in the above list) and not the puck. There were Interchangeability & Substitution Bulletins covering this. Under Cover Center Right: 56411CA001 Under Cover Center Front Left: 56411CA040 Under Cover Center Left: 56411CA011 Under Cover Center Front Left: 56411CA050 Fender Liner Clips: 909140007 x 4 (the same part number is also used for the tank covers) The other thing I notice in the above list is the counts for fasteners seem to be more than what seems necessary. I don't know whether they deliberately include extras, or if I'm miscounting, but as best as I can tell, the counts should be: Bolts Require for Installation: Bolt: 901000344 x (6 -3) M8 Nut: 902170046 x (4 -1) Fender Liner Clips: 909140007 x (4+4 -2) Cargo Liner Clips: 909140065 x (16 - 3) The -x at the ends are counts of what is already present on cars without these panels and you may be able to re-use. This is also omitting the bolts that also hold the front panel in place. Anybody wanting to browse the parts catalogs themselves, the front panels are under the Body section and are easily found. The rear panels are listed under Engine and Cooling, in the Fuel Tank, Band and Cover section. |
