Saw that Lost in Translation was on Amazon Prime and I had never seen it before. Not really into romance movies but figured it takes place in Tokyo and I’ve been feeling nostalgic.

It was alright. Slow burn. Felt that some of the jokes were probably on the racist side, which was a bit annoying.

Snowpiercer was ok. I haven’t like much in the way of hbo series this year. I really liked Raised By Wolves though.

Anyone watch Kobra Kai? Thinking about embarking through it.

It's great **if** you don't mind some super corny stuff and enjoyed the movies way back.

I watched a 2019 movie called Snatchers and it was a hilarious b-flick.

Trying The Queen’s Gambit right now since that’s the current popular new show.

It’s not really what I expected so far. Not sure if I’ll watch beyond episode 1.

I tried to watch it but stopped after the first 4 episodes. I just couldn't watch it unless I was extremely bored.

Watched episode 3 of WandaVision last night.

If anyone in here is considering watching, I think I'd recommend waiting till you can binge the whole series.

I don't 100% mind the weekly release schedule, but the episodes have been super short. Plus you can only re-think/reconsider the symbolic stuff in each episode so much throughout a whole week till the next episode is released.

I'm watching Bosch right now, after finally finishing all the audiobooks first. Good cop procedural show. On season 3.

Also watching William and Mary with Martin Clune and Julie Graham.

Oh yeah, I finished The Queen's Gambit. I'd give it a 6/10 at best.

I had some issues with how it was produced. They skipped _a lot_ of showing the actual games being played, the views of the board, etc. And they didn't really explain strategies to the viewer, they just rambled off names of them.

It felt way more like a standard drama wrapped in a chess theme than anything else, where chess was more of the crutch for the main character than the focal point (which is ironic because it's totally marketed as though it's actually a chess show).

Many years ago we got all 5 seasons of Quantum leap. We never watched them, in fact seasons 2 to 5 are still shrink wrapped. We started last night with the pilot. Not bad for a silly 30+ year old show.

We watched it. It started out slow, but was ok. And you are right, it was not a show about how to play chess. I imagine that would not go well with the average audience.
