Dustin's UltraMarine FR-S (Engine Blew - LS3 Time)

Finally got my FR-S after many years of drooling over them. I was originally looking at a BRZ limited or 2015 WRX. The Limited at the local Subaru dealer was discounted a lot in the exact colour I want and everything. I couldn't get any sales person to talk to me, so I left and went to the Scion dealership. I was originally looking at the new ones until I found a Used Ultramarine with only 3500 miles. Talked some number and picked her up the next day.

They look good together.

Home to meet the others:

I Very soon Painted the stock wheels Bronze and debadged the trunk. The stock wheels look so much better one solid color.

Edit: It has been a year since I purchased my FR-S and she has come a long way. From the above to this:

Brackets haven't shipped yet, Not sure when They will get here. The Rotors should be here thursday or friday.

Seats will be ordered tomorrow. Excited for that. Almost had a set of Bride Zeta from a local craigslist ad, though he sold them right before I emailed him.

Still waiting on my caliper brackets and seats. My girlfriend ordered a set of (knockoff) Bride Exas III because I missed out on a set of real Brides on craiglist. Will be ordering the brackets on monday. Though I did get some work done. I got the spacers on. Which I remember somewhere 18mm spacer in the rear and 25mm in the front to make the wheels flush. I must have remembered wrong, because the front has poke and the rear is still sunk in a tiny bit. I need to switch them around. While I was fitting the front I checked the size of the STI Rotors:

So This happened:

Painted all the Silver trim pieces black.

Fit the caliper to the rotors. I thought they would fit better(Use more of the rotor) so this may just be a temporary solution till I can find STI Brembos/bigger caliper.

Still waiting on the other Bucket Seats to get here. They were suppose to ship out early last week and they haven't yet. I haven't been able to get in contact with the seller either. Going to cancel the order if they don't ship out by wednesday.

This kit was a pain to install. They ended up sending me the wrong adapters. The only difference was a couple millimeters of space. These adapters made the caliper touch the rotor. It took almost 9 hours to get everything right, as I was using a dremel tool trying to take off the least amount of material from the caliper as possible. I eventually got it, but I was extremely frustrated and my back was(still is) killing me. They called me as soon as I emailed them telling them what happened. They offered to send the correct kit with the blue lines I wanted originally and everything. Not needed since I got it working anyway. I have nothing but good things to say about the company, but oh well.

Putting an order in right now for Sustina Oil and OEM filter. Trying to think of anything elsei should order right now.

Temp. Seats should have been here today, but USPS didn't even check if anyone was home and left with them. So I am hoping I can pick them up tonight. If not, I have to wait till Saturday.

Got the temporary ebay seats:

They didn't really fit in the car:

I had to unpack the seats and set them in the back. Took longer to get the box in than the seats.

Nice ultramarine, this is the color I am looking for now with under 10K on the clock. Hopefully something pops up on carmax soon.

UEL because Rumble. I'm in the same boat of ordering the headers from Tomei, except if I do, it's definitely going to be UEL! Only hindrance for me is that there is lack of third party reviews on the Tomei UEL's as of right now. :/ Be the first to buy and review one!

Everything I read/hear points to EL if going FI, and UEL if staying N/A as the power difference is minimal at best at such low power. So UEL it is. Should be ordering next week!

edit: Just ordered the rest of the Stuff to finish the headlights. I'll be stealing the ballasts from one of my other cars(Black car with all the Fogs on first post). Trying to decide between flat/matte black housing and duplicolors back chrome kit.

I am loving the seat so far.

Also just placed my order for my first oil change products. Going with Eneos Sustina oil, Factory Subaru filter, and Fumoto quick valve.
