I ordered in June, about the 5-6th GTS man from my dealer.

Told Aug/Sep/Oct now... Expecting in Nov/Dec which suits me fine (saving to get finance payments down)

But my build status still hasn't changed...

I found a nice 1989 911 with a 3.3 turbo engine... But the whole point of the 86 was to not have to worry about things breaking and costing me monies :P

Just to add a bit of humour to this tread !! A Couple of guys at work, who by there own admission are Green with Envy that I have ordered an 86, have started a little Nostradaus style game .... except there not trying to predict when the world will end, but what things will happen before I get my 86 GTS.

They started off pretty tame, stuff like Julia Gillard won't be Prime Minister, Will it be my retirement present ..... Then they started to get to the funny stuff !!
How much will HKS's Hover Car Conversion kit for the 86 be,
Will the Time Travel Module that will undoubtly be out when I get it ruin the handling,
I will be able to park it safely cause a cloaking device will be around by the time I get it.

Great to know others are taking pleaure from the Ridiculously Long wait we are suffering through !!

Just curious, does anyone know if the factory in Japan runs on weekends?
They have got a lot of volume to pump out...

Not sure about this one but my ex chef work 7 days a week through out the year and from him i understand that in japan, they don't have annual leave , 1 or 2 weeks summer holiday plus 1 or 2 weeks new year holiday and that it.......think about the bright side, 86 is not build in Europe, we all know Japs n Germans r the hardworking one, so.....don't worry .......BUT still STUPID TOYOTA SYSTEM......

Car factories in general typically work on weekends. It's expensive to start them and stop them so they generally keep them rolling...

I have finally come to terms with the wait for this car, I am sure it will be worth it in the end. there is not much that can be done unfortunately.

I din even bother calling my dealer since I placed an order back in June, however I did get a call last week with an update that I am in the queue and there is nothing they can, I appreciate the effort by my dealer and told her I am coming on the weekend for another test drive - finally they have a manual as a demo.

I am told Nov Build at this stage, which I am sure will get pushed into the new year, pretty much everyone is Nov build which does not make sense to me.

my dealer made their first proactive contact with me today since I ordered a manual GTS at the start of June, originally advised September build with October delivery, now told to expect December delivery. Online tracking still says "on order"
