I originally had the Robispec with no shroud. Car still ran hot on the dyno, but that may have been due to not bleeding the system properly.

Switched to the Full Blown radiator with Spal fans and shroud, and temps have not moved more than one or 2 degrees regardless of load.

I think the biggest factor is the shroud and fans. It directs the air from the fans and utilizes the entire radiator area.

Unless you're going FI there's no point. My car has stock rad, and I track it and haven't had any heating issues... and I live in the tropics where its summer year round...

So how do you know you dont have any heat issues?

are you running oil temp or water temp gauge?

are you using Torque during those track laps?

torque, I have a Bluetooth OBD2 plug. On a N/A car you may only need an oil cooler upgrade if you drive the car hard on the track, not a radiator upgrade, which is what OP is talking about. And OP wants to upgrade the cooling system because its gonna be summer, not cause he races, which an even bigger waste of money.

I run the Mishimoto and it's been great. Also, their lifetime warranty is a win in my book. Quality seems to be there, and fitment was great.

Question since you run this and I'm about to install it. Do these use the OEM spring clips on the hoses currently since the hose kit didn't come with any or is there a better solution to use for clamping?

No its not a mishimoto unit, we designed it ourselves. Our radiator was released before theirs and the mounting locations are different.

I stand corrected. Post has been edited. I guess I am just jealous cause we don't have a 10 second FRS

Wouldnt a oil cooler be more than enough?

How well does the FBM rad work with other kits? In terms of fitment

I have the FBM radiator on my current twin and had a Koyorad on my last twin. I can say I was instantly blown away by the craftsmanship of the FBM radiator. It's big and beautiful. And while you're changing put the radiator I'd recommend swapping out the hoses for some better quality ones. But yeah, FBM all the way for me. 3 times the size of stock (17mm vs. 42mm) and a dual core system is sweeeeeet.
