Then back in April I was at an Atlanta region event and instructed a guy in his new BRZ and got a chance to drive it and fell in love again. May rolled around, we were back in Atlanta for the Match Tour on May 16-18, and I spent all weekend in paddock staring at Christy Carlson/Chris Gervais' car. So... I get back home, find a used one on cars.com... go to the dealership... it's gone... look at a new one, and here I am

Since I wanted to stay in "street" class I wanted a car more apt to rotate, so I went with the FRS. Nearly 2 months into ownership, it has an axleback dump pipe, a Strano front bar, and the OE crash bolts... which is probably all that will be done to it until I can get a cheap set of Koni Yellows bolt-ons that I don't have to hack up OE struts for. I love the car so far... every bit as much fun as my Miata was, but so much more practical.

Sadly, the best photo of my car isn't with me in it... it's a friend co-driving my car at the last zMax AutoX

Hope to see you guys around. I'm over in Gaston County, near Stanley... but you'll pretty much find me at any AutoX in the Charlotte/Triad area I know I'm not alone over here... I see a black one about once a week in the morning, and another white one every so often in the afternoons.
Glad you finally decided to join the FRS/BRZ family! It's been a long time coming!

Meh... fortunately I'm faster around an AutoX course than I am at figuring other things out

Yeah, I've been reading the reviews of the service on here, and am not impressed...
I love the look of the RPF1s on my WRX and the BRZ. So I may end up with another set at some point. And no, not Caldwell Station, fairly close though.

I must be a lucky one, I haven't had any service issues with them yet. Car has been in 2 or 3 times for warranty stuff (rear view mirror falling off, and frozen windows).

I went twice for warranty stuff (figured I'd give them a second chance) and it was horrible. I tried to set up an appointment to get the car serviced and they didn't even respond for 3 business days. Emailed another dealer and they responded in an hour and a half, much better experience at the other dealer.

I'm really not happy about it because now I drive like an hour for service.

What size is that set you've got on there?

Anyone know of any good local shops to do an exhaust? I was thinking of doing a custom 3" setup with dual magnaflows. I did an exhaust for my truck for less that $250 and I just can't justify spending $650 - $700+ on a JDM setup. Looking for something like this guy has.

Anyone know of a black lowered FRS with wheels and a wing that runs around near lake wylie? My wife said she saw one blow by a GT and a Cobra today...

Why does it seem like every twin owner I come across in Charlotte is super conservative? They are always cruising at or under the speed limit in the right lane and never willing to have any fun with me I'm not even talking about speeding, no hard corners, acceleration or even acknowledge that I exist. I have owned mine for close to a year now and still haven't come across anyone on the road that isn't either super old or a girl (or driving like it). I drive at least an hour a day all over Charlotte too. Seems like the only drivers that will push it even a little are audi's and mustangs.. I can't keep up with them and that's probably why. If anyone sees me, please humor me. I drive a black tinted FRS with smoked Valenti tail lights, led drls and the FRS badge removed.
