Actually, they are "normal" rich people. There are 47M millionaires in the world, and most of them could be your neighbors without you realizing it.

In fact, I would willing to bet there is more than one person on here with a greater than $1M net worth.

Yep. Capitalism isn't perfect, just better than any other system ever invented.

You better hope you have at least 2mil in the bank and a paid off house at retirement to pay for Obama care.

There are rare people, like Jay Leno, who are able to work 60+ hours a week every week, who use this energy to get ahead.

The funny thing is how many people don't understand the basic fundamentals of economics that dictate that if a majority of people had the same work ethic and made that type of money, not only would it not be special and more than likely ruin the economy.

Yeah if everyone fixed their own plumbing, did their own car repairs, etc... I do but only because I enjoy it I could afford to pay someone. And I will pay someone if I'm out flying.

I do none of my own repairs. No interest and have the cash to pay others.

BUT...

If I won enough to live on and have some cash left over this is what I would do (not necessarily that car but that sort of project)

As a bonus a Twin pops up in one of the later videos. Anybody know this dude? This is how YouTube videos should be done!

No. More like this one which is also a great series to watch.
It is sad that I don't even have pictures of my old big restoration projects much less nice videos.

There are probably dozens. Having a net worth of a million dollars isn't a big deal. Most millionaires live poorly. They drive old, cheap cars and are penny pinchers. They aren't rich. They have wealth, but aren't wealthy, nor would they be considered rich. No way Joe-Shmo penny pincher or small business owner or cardiologist is going to be on Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous.

Most people with wealth drive cheap cars or something slightly more proportional to their wealth. Half the doctors in my hospital drive luxury cars and the others drive economy cars. Regardless of the cost, as a proportion of their worth or income, the cars are cheap.

Some people who win the lottery are at best wealthy, but most are not even close to that. A few become rich. Those guys listed are odd for people who are that rich, but then again, those cars listed were definitely not their only vehicles. Also, those examples are all people who weren't born rich. @Sergeb96 is probably correct that most rich people, especially those that are born rich, would probably not drive those cars. And it is why @Jordanwolf said:

The exercise is to answer the question: if money was no object then what would be your top car to buy? Another way to propose the question that typically elicits the same answer is as follows: what car poster did you have in your room that was hanging next to your favorite girl poster, even if neither poster is actually ideal?

I'd keep my FRS and add a new Toyota Avalon to the stable as it would surpass my needs. I don't desire anything faster or more luxurious. All that "stuff" has long since passed!
