Not to speak for @PST but I can see the extension putting a radial torsional load on the pedal hinge that, for such a lightweight device would potentially cause accelerated wear.

I really like the relocation idea. Very nice.

A few of us have been using the Cusco extension since 2012 without fail. I'm guessing this must be for many years to come failure?

Proof is in real world results. It's just the first thought that popped into my head since I've been considering something similar to compensate for the angle of my foot.

The lateral movement could indeed by duplicated by a pedal extension, but the majority of the benefit is from "raising" the pedal and changing the angle between your foot and calf during a heel-toe motion.

Touching on what @Ultramaroon said, have you taken off your gas pedal and inspected it after using the Cusco extension for a while? Just out of curiosity.

Just for fun, we decided to measure deflection of the master cylinder with a shock pot, before and after installing a Perrin MC brace.

Doubtful this will show up as quantifiable, but we'll definitely report driver feedback!

Slightly relevant news, PST has been acquired by Gspeed. The two companies will be merging under the PST name and operating from our current facility at the Motorsport Ranch.
